Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi has given Egypt's army the powers of arrest and ordered it to “cooperate” with police until after the results of the Dec. 15 referendum on the disputed draft constitution.

The presidential decree, which is to appear on Tuesday in the government's official gazette under “Law 107,” was issued ahead of rival mass protests on Tuesday over the referendum.

The decision indicates how jittery the government is about the referendum scheduled for next Saturday amid increasingly vocal opposition.

Egypt’s powerful army, which is trying to remain neutral, warned on Saturday it “will not allow” a worsening of the crisis and said both sides must hold dialogue.

The torture process starts once a demonstrator who opposes President Mohammed Morsi is arrested in the clashes or is suspected after the clashes end, and the CSF separate Morsi’s supporters from his opponents. Then, the group members trade off punching, kicking and beating him with a stick on the face and all over his body. They tear off his clothes and take him to the nearest secondary torture chamber, from which CSF personnel, members of the Interior Ministry and the State Security Investigations Services (SSIS) are absent.

Hey Barack! How are those Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian Torture Chambers working out?

For a man who wrongly calls waterboarding torture, not a peep out of him regarding the Brotherhood setting up torture chambers in Egypt with the blessing of the dictator Morsi. Does anyone have a logical explanation as to why? Matter of fact, those torture chambers may well have been built with American taxpayer dollars because Obama is giving billions in “aid” to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

I’m still dumbfounded as to why he turned his back on President Hosni Mubarak, and then said publicly, “the dictator must step down”. I don’t get how you can treat an ally like that.

I guess with the mess Egypt has turned in to, there’s really only one thing to say to Obama. “I told you so”. And I did.
