When Jesus returns, by then, the whole Earth would have been destroyed and most everybody would have died. But at least 1/10th of the population will still be living in a very very horrible condition. By then, the antichrist forces would have been destroyed because of Armageddon and Gods great plagues. But still, mankind will see Jesus coming to the Earth from afar; and will still be in such a evil and rebellious state, that they will fight Him and His heavenly army and will lose in just hours. And then after they are all slain, everybody that has ever been born will be called up to the Fathers Great White Throne Judgment; and there they will be judged. And some will be judged and go to heaven; while most will be judged and sentenced to the great lake of fire and brimstone!!

I believe that Bible prophecy can be understood and even dated from astronomical descriptions of future skies.

I believe the Second Coming will come just before the end of the seven year tribulation (in October 2019) and that a week-long pole shift will will end on Judgment Day in December 2019. So in answer to your question, the Earth is largely destroyed, its surface drastically changed, with billions of fatalities. As Isaiah 24:1 tells us "Behold, the Lord lays the earth waste, devastates it, distorts its surface and scatters its inhabitants." Many other verses support this idea.

For a long time I didn't understand why I had two dates, I grew up thinking once He comes back, game over. But eventually another scholar explained why it make sense, so long as my two dates are exactly 75 days apart (which they are.) He explained the Book of Daniel's 1260, 1290, and 1335 days have several End Times meanings, one of which is that 1260 days after an earlier event, we have the Second Coming, followed by 30 days of judgment, 45 days of wrath, then Judgment Day. It fits my astronomical assessment perfectly.
