This is for those of you who accuse the Lord GOD as a monster. Hear well.

I want to share a testimony with you.

Several days ago there was a thread here about someone who was accusing God of being a monster who allowed human sacrifices and murder and rape and all these vile things.

They then proceeded to show scripture in the Old Testaments to back up their misguided and skewed point of view on what the Scripture was actually saying.

I responded but had a chance to dwell on this for some time.
And I wanted to share with you this revelation I had.

In the Old Testament of the Bible, after God commanded Moses to take the Israelites from out of Egypt (everyone knows this story by now I hope, if not watch THE TEN COMMANDMENTS movie classic), remember that HE lead them through Moses to the promised land to take it for themselves from the inhabitants of that land at the time (for God had judged them wicked and their sins were about to be judged by Israel, whom God was using to punish these people).

The Israelites then rebelled against God and because of their FEAR more for the inhabitants of these sinful lands THAN GOD, God punished them by making them wander in the desert for 40 years, of which every year a certain number of the rebellious Israelites died and by the end of 40 years all the generation that had disobeyed had died off and only their descendents remained who grew up during this exile, as well as Caleb and Joshua who were the only ones that were sent to scout out the land, that remained faithful to God.

Then after the 40 years of exile the Israelites proceeded to take the land that the Lord commanded them to have and for each of the sinful people and groups that remained in that land, terrible judgement came upon them, sometimes having whole villages killed (men, women, children, livestock) and burn to the ground so that nothing remained of them (so terrible must have been the sins that these were engaged in).

Some other towns were spared their women (usually only virgins) to be MARRIED off to Israelite men who were looking for wives.

Some other towsn were spared both women and children and livestock.

It seems each town was judged by God according to the sin perhaps that they had committed in that place.

Now for those of you who have read this and were quick to accuse God of barbarism or hate or said HE allows murder and rape and human sacrifice and all manner of accusations that have absolutely no basis on any scripture you have given:

You discount the ONE thing that absolutely overrides all this.
You see you discount God Himself.

You read what is happening and you focus on the HUMAN potential of EVIL to corrupt by raping women or making human sacrifices or murder or etc...

But the deepest FAULT of your reasoning in this is that you have absolutely ruled out the PRESENCE OF GOD.

Remember God was WITH ISRAEL <- PHYSICALLY in the ARK while they moved and conquered.

He was WITH ISRAEL PHYSICALLY while they wandered the desert for 40 years in a tent before the Ark was built <- remember the Holy of Holies moved as the Israel moved as nomads across the desert for 40 years.

GOD PHYSICALLY DWELT AMONG THEIR MIDST.
DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE IMPLICATIONS OF THIS?

A HOLY GOD.
A GOD OF PURE GOOD.

Do you honestly believe that raping, murder and human sacrifice was practiced by ANY of the surviving descendents of the original Israelites that came out of EGYPT after God PUT THEM IN EXILE FOR DISOBEDIENCE?

DO YOU THINK ANY OF THEM WOULD DARE TO ROUSE HIS WRATH AGAIN BY COMMITTING BLASPHEMY IN HIS MIDST?

Such as Rape, Murder or Human Sacrifice?

Seriously?


Can you imagine if you were one of the Israelites wandering the desert for 40 years, HAVING GOD's VERY PRESENCE one tent away?

THE GOD WHO CREATED ALL THE UNIVERSE.
EVERY LIVING THING ON EARTH.
EVERYTHING.

THAT GOD RIGHT THERE IN ARMS REACH?

I cried a bucket of tears that day driving thinking of this.
The magnitude and SIGNIFICANCE of having the LORD's VERY PRESENCE IN YOUR MIDST.

HIS HOLINESS AND GOODNESS RADIATION OUT.
And you think that the Israelits in the MIDST OF THIS could have done such horrific things?

God is Good.
All the time.

May Israel see who God's Son is soon.
Who is their Messiah, Jesus Christ!

IN JESUS CHRIST!
