lets just say for a minute it was fake, how has it impacted anyone at all in any negative way? none! so who the f cares, please just stop with this crap.

Get over it and get some fresh air... The moon's surface is made up of silica -- highly reflective. You don't need a manufactured lens placed on the moon in order to shoot a laser up there and have it reflect back to earth. The moon's surface is naturally reflective.
