Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 20254550 United States 12/13/2012 04:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I remember when I was in school. We gave our teachers gifts. That kinda stopped by junior high. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29704407 With that I think it's a good idea. She will need that gift card sooner or later. If you think it might be inapropriate try to hand it off in private, if you can. Of course in private , I wanted to give it along a nice Christmas card and some chocolate |

That way, if the school board, does have a problem with it, they can't figure out who it was, also, it gives Teacher a chance to view every kid in the class as the child of someone very kind and generous. Just think, one anonymous gift can do lots of good for many people, Teacher gets what she needs right now and continues to give the same to every child in her class! Anonymous Coward User ID: 27227279 United States 12/13/2012 06:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My kids teacher lost her home in NJ during Sandy and I wanted to give a 100 $ gift card from a store that sells stuff for home, is it ok or is it inapropriate as the education dep maybe against this ... Thanks for your feedback ! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20254550 Totally appropriate, imho. You can even enclose a note saying how you know about their loss and are trying to help in a way you can. I cannot imagine anyone, under these extraordinary circumstances, feeling it was anything but a kind and generous gesture of care. |
