If you think about it, we're going to have a generation who will be so socially fucked up that that alone might breed killing machines. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29150242 We are losing our social skills ever since electronic communications crept into our lives. We're teaching children not even to touch another (germs). There's hardly anymore eye contact because they're too busy fussin' with their iPhones while walking, jogging, shopping, sunbathing, driving or waiting for a bus. So what will happen if we restrict this generation from interacting with one another during their formative years by keeping them home? We're going to have a generation of human robots. I don't profess to know the answer but I can see the future ramifications and the future is looking more and more frightening with each passing day though. Bleh! Think about it: How many criminals - murderers, rapists, thieves, etc. - were homeschooled? |

SevenThunders User ID: 15851599 United States 12/15/2012 01:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Very true. If Americans had just pulled their kids en-mass out of public schools after the supreme court banned God in 1962 we'd be in a lot better shape now. [link to www.jesus-is-savior.com] Unfortunately the churches were asleep at the wheel. Astoundingly they didn't see the danger, even though the lie of public education, as a good way to indoctrinate their children into the American way, was exposed. Even now pastors just don't get it. They want to 'evangelize' their communities but ignore the total loss of young people to secular education. The Muslims understand this. They are militant in the establishment of muslim schools. Christian pastors in America are too soft and complacent. With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible |

It's called budgeting and being unselfish. So true. My husband works as a residential trash truck driver and is also a FT engineering student. I cherish my role as a homemaker. One income is hard sometimes but budgeting is the key. We live debt free, cars are paid off, live without all the luxuries most people do, and we live in a paid off nice mobile home. Have I fantasized about going back to work full time to move into a nice big house, or drive a newer car, sure BUT it is not worth it to me to give up homeschooling my kids. Besides, my husband would NEVER get the hang of the house work or budget. Ha ha. We have very defined male/female roles in our house and I wish more families would return to those old-fashioned values. Last Edited by Triskele on 12/15/2012 02:48 AM |
