Sorry, OP, your story is interesting (and may even be true) but trying to pass yourself off as a 40-something, female, engineering grad doesn't work. Your detractor (the one pointing out the flaws with your spelling, grammar, and the restaurant part of the story) nailed you, buddy.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30098107 Nailed what. I just shouldn't have taken anything personally. Believe what you want. Free will and free choice. That fact remains the same. My Brother Inlaw left this morning to head home and so did Mr USGS. End of story.
What Mr Usgs said to him that Morning at Breakfast was enough to convince him to leave. He just did. Home by late Thursday night.
If you find it hard to believe that 20 some odd years ago I took enginneering to bad for you. I am now quite happy retired up on my mountain playing rancher away from it all living the life I always wanted too.
The part about the restaurant was just to convey that neither MR USGS or my Brother Inlaw were some redneck slobs sitting drinking beer and telling tall tales.
Take it for what you want. The message wasn't for people like you obviously. It was for those with their eyes and ears open that pay attention to things.
The fact remains that California just had a series of Earthquakes that were found to be quite disturbing to both the USGS and MR Retired USGS so much so he went home also. As also reported on CNN NEWS.
I really don't care if you or the other idiot believes me or not. Doesn't change a thing in my life. I'm safe and sound where I am. Just trying to keep others the same way.
God Bless and Stay Safe everyone.
