They are cowards. We scared them off in my hometown a couple of years ago. They publicized that they were coming to protest the funeral of a local soldier who had been killed in Iraq. The entire community came together in a very peaceful manner to shield the family from them. People lined up all along the funeral procession route and were planning to stand in front of the Westboro protesters so that the family would be shielded from seeing them. There were well over 2 thousand people who participated. We were told not to confront them or say anything at all. just to peacefully line up and show support for the family.

When the Westboro trash pulled into town and saw what our community was doing, they promptly left without even showing their faces.

If the Community up there will do the same, they will not show up. They only show up where there is very little organized protest against them.

Was this in st lucie county florida? If so i organized that effort and it worked perfectly. Same deal, westboro claimed theyd be there come hell and high water and chickened out.

See, in the old days, a group of dads would get together and kick the living shit out of these people and, if they got arrested at all, the judge would give them a $1.00 fine and tell them that he would double it next time if thy did it again. Problem solved. You wouldn't see these assholes protesting like this again. And no lawyer in town would volunteer to represent them.
