Increased activity of the volcano Tungurahua: Explosions and pyroclastic flows decline
Today at 5h48 (local time), there was a moderate explosion, which was followed by two large explosions, at 5h54 (local time) and 6h03 (local time). The explosions were followed by gunfire that caused strong ground shaking in crecanos places, and were heard in places located more than 30 km of the volcano as Pujilí. These explosions generated a column of ash and gas that reached a height of over 7 km above the crater. This column was headed home toward the east and then the north west.

With the aforementioned explosions generated pyroclastic flows that descended on the northwestern flank, south-western and western volcano, specifically by the streams of Achupashal, Mapayacu Choglontús and La Hacienda.

Until the end of this newsletter have received reports of falling rubble in the sector Cotaló Cusua and coarse ash and Banos, Runtún, Pondoa, Ulba, Pelileo and Cevallos.

We are tipping just about 90 Volcano's on the Active List. The NORMAL in a given year is 35-40. Magma flows are at an all time high. There is so much Magma movement world wide it really is getting alarming. Many sceintist very worried about it all.
