How many of you will not keep up on GLP after 12/21?

Why not? GLP is a very good forum and sure I will learn many new things here in the future.

I'm sure after the 21st nothing bad will happen anymore. No more crazy weather events. No more school shootings. No more of anything that's "bad". Everything will be peaches and cream. No need to hang out here anymore.

It's becoming too radical fringe, extremist for me lately. Granted there would be quite a few that would LOVE for me to be gone, not sure I feel like this is the place for me anyway.

We'll see if it's any different once 21 has passed, but I doubt it.

This is in sum.. what GLP community has become, in large part, over the last couple of years...

but you complain about the posters on GLP, alot. why do you keep coming back? i know you have been around since, well the begining but if you arent happy with this anymore then it is time to move on.

I've promised myself that if nothing happens I'm never visiting any site like GLP again and will concentrate on happy things.

I do agree w/ you that their are many weirdos/pervs that write stupid shit on this site. I'm guilty of typing stuff that I wish I'd hadn't.

Why would Mayan doom be any more special than all the other ACTUAL dooms we've got going on, from Japanese reactors, to global climate craziness, to global financial meltdown. Those are continuing, we don't really *need* any extra-special Mayan doom! The Mayan thing is for neophytes!

well, you know that there's always the coastal crisis coming in the spring of 2013 to wring our collective hands over, then there's the polar shift that will happen sometime,there's the solar kill shot that will happen one day. All in all, even if nothing happens on the 21st there are still plenty of doom scenarios to keep the eye on.

The Illuminati aren't going away on the 21st either.

I have been around since the beginning here... well over a decade, and I seriously am OVER all of this Doom. I come here for the rare cool spiritual thread... and of course entertainment...

I will stay because, of the breaking news that's days ahead of MSM.

I will be here to witness all the rationalization and to watch the New Age movement take it's final desperate gasps. In fact, that's the only doom I expect to witness.

To be honest, I guess the reason I stick around is that.. I actually enjoy the challenge of opposing viewpoints. As a Libran, I like to look at both sides of an issue. And I mean well reasoned and articulated opposition not stuff like "you're a tard, I hate you" which I simply disregard as childish acting out.

Point-counterpoint types of discussions challenge the intellect, and either strengthen your beliefs or force you to change them. It's like cutting teeth, it makes you stronger overall.

Simply surrounding oneself with others of like mind only leads to a dwarfing of character and perspective.
