If videogames are designed to program people they're doing a pretty shit job considering the millions upon millions of people who play them and have never raised a hand in violence, enjoy stable loving relationships and rich full lives.

How does being a gamer make you a loser? The only way it's different from any other form of entertainment is that you are more involved in the outcome/get to make your own choices. That imo makes you far less of a loser than someone who just sits there listening to music or watching TV instead.
