In Wisconsin, some schools are already closing for a different reason--pending blizzard.
Some schools already closing as state of emergency declared
Gov. Scott Walker has declared a state of emergency in Wisconsin because of the pending blizzard.Read more: [ link to host.madison.com] Yep, we are all shut down around here. This is uncommon. We are accustomed to heavy snow. Usually the decision is not made til early morning and usually ice-related, not snow. We have 3 inches on the ground since 9PM, and they have already canceled tomorrow's classes and some schools already canceled Friday's classes. Either we've turned into a bunch of pussies or we are in for a real good snowstorm. Here in Michigan, we went from no snow to some snow. The weather man had everyone believing it was going to remain balmy. Not anymore. A little of what you're getting is coming our way.
