Re: Anyone know any good MMO's?
Infantry by sony online is uber addictive, awesome squad level combat, only drawback is the 2d perspective from above. But to this day it remains my favorite mmo of all time.I started playing in 2001 and spent whole days in front of my computer earning enough points to buy better weapons and armor. just a cool future infantry game with classes, tanks etc.was free ,than sony got greedy and made it a pay game which killed the format, late last year i played it again and surprise was free again.

Re: Anyone know any good MMO's?
The last two I played that I liked quite a lot...

Fallen Earth, decent post apocalyptic mmo, great crafting.
You can craft your own weapons, vehicles (dune buggy built from scrap ftw). Decent combat, sorta hybrid fps style shooting.

Champions Online, nice superhero mmo, create your own superhero, character creator is fucking amazing. Combat is decent, quests are very good, pvp is quite fun.

Both are free to play with cash shop and optional sub for benefits.

Fallen Earth has a very decent f2p model, if you spend even just 5 bucks in the CS you unlock a ton of permanent upgrades and get a bunch of free stuff.

[link to na.leagueoflegends.com] is great. it puts 5v5 or 3v3 in a small arena, ever one starts out at level 1 and you level up in the match. Each match can run from 20min-50+mins. Its free. or if you want to buy champs and skins you can. but you earn IP to buy champs and stuff. Pretty fun, but I like PvP

I'm not a huge gamer, no xbox type machine etc, but I've played DDO, Age of Conan, and now playing GW2, but of all of them I like the mechanics of Skyrim (Elder Scrolls V) the best. It has the most realistic combat system IMO.

DDO is good, but gets redundant (as all games do) having to TR once you cap out, and running the same raid over and over again to upgrade some item is tedious.

GW2 is nice for the content and events systems but the mechanics of the game (GUI?) are clumsy and the animation sort of awkward (could be my low graphics card).

AoC is ok, but I made the mistake of starting my toon out on a PvP server instead of a PvE server which makes leveling nearly impossible as I die every time I run into another toon lol.

I'll try Skyrim Online as soon as its available most likely I suppose.

Then you'll be disappointed with Elder Scrolls Online (it's not called Skyrim Online btw).

It's going to be a basic WoW clone with Elder Scrolls art style and lore but virtually none of the mechanics that make Elder Scrolls games so awesome..

This means no first person real time combat and magic that so defines the series, it's going to be WoW style hotbar clicky clicky skills n spells.

Sorry to say as a huge Elder Scrolls fan I was very disappointed with pretty much everything I read about it.

Just another grindfest mmo with "Elder Scrolls" on the box. :/

I enjoy playing a wonky little game called "Dead Frontier".
It is a simple survival horror game but it moves along pretty well and the economy of the game allows you to set market prices of materials that people can "purchase". Deciding which charactor you become is stratigic as well. You can actually create several avis and work as a team for resources. Giving them funny names is a plus. IDK, i just like it.

Dude I LOVE DF!

Now it's got barricades and interiors it's awesome, plus it can be genuinely creepy and quite tense as you trudge deeper into the city, low on ammo, armour beaten to shit, no health and miles from any outpost.

Some days I just sit in the market buying up medical stuff on the cheap, waiting for an outpost attack to hit... then when everyone heads out to kill zeds for xp I put up all the meds I hoarded at high prices, everyone comes in aftewr the attack all wounded and ka-ching!

Profit!

I also run an engineer and a chef, you can make serious money cooking food for peeps.

Re: Anyone know any good MMO's?
If you're up to the challenge of flying WWII aircraft in guns only air combat then check out [link to www.airattack-central.com.]

It's an old 640x480 platform but the flying is excellent and that is what the game is about. Small loyal community, many regular events and plenty of special events.

For the holidays we had a catch Santa event. Three Santas in Yak's flying with their gear down. Everyone else in P-38's trying to score with a mid air collision with one of the Santa Yaks. Much much harder than it sounds and buckets of fun.

I you get involved prepare to be shot down way more than you are successful in shooting down another plane. But if you hang in there the sense of accomplishment is awesome.

Highly recommended. Good luck, and oh, it's free.

Best regards,

Love is not the game, life is.
-
When we wake up in this "reality" every morning, we are actually falling asleep, because only in our dreams we are truly awake.
-
We are not our body, nor our mind. We are not the voice in our body, nor our head. We are the the here and now, experiencing without any input from either of the mentioned above.
-
It's not about others forgiving you, but whether you can forgive yourself.
-
It doesn't take much energy to make the wrong decision. But to make the right one, you have to put every fiber of your being to it.
-
I know i have a lot to work on. But knowing that there's no hairy ass man in the clouds to judge me when I have little bit of fun on the expense of someone elses ignorance, makes life a whole lot easier.
