Stricter Drinking Driving Laws>Stronger Gun Laws
Next time someone is regurgitating the opinions of someone they have just seen on ABC, CNN, NBC, Fox News, Etc ask them why they aren't crying for stricter drinking and driving laws??

Then ask them... How many times have you been out and seen someone that has drank too much and got behind the wheel of a vehicle? Or have heard of someone you know doing that?

Now ask them... How many times have you been out and seen someone whip out a gun and start shooting people.

Remember, Americans no longer have critical thinking skills, So their argument will be that the two are like comparing apples to oranges(hopefully they know what that comparison means).... That's when you say... "So a 3,000-5,000lbs car traveling 40mph+ with an impaired driver behind the wheel isn't a weapon?"

I've done this about a dozen times in the past week and every time it has ended with them feeling really stupid. I follow it up with....

So which is more likely to happen this next week... A person leaving a gun out and a child finding it and shooting themselves in the face OR.... Someone you know will have a few drinks and get behind the wheel.

I always end it with... I totally agree with you about the guns, In fact, You should write a letter to congress telling them how you want everyone you know including yourself to have breathalyzers install in your car so that you have to blow into it before you start the engine. The look on their face is PRICELESS!!!

Sure i'll turn in all of my guns, but...

You SAY your a good driver, but you've told me that you drive and talk on the phone, or text while driving or eat while driving, or you drink a fews drinks then drive home...

You let the government install cameras that film you while you drive and film what's in front of the car AND a breathylzer... Then i'll hand in my guns.

Here's how it works in my state...

Texas residents who choose to own guns should familiarize themselves with Texas gun laws and licensing regulations before filling out the required state application. Long-barreled shotguns and hunting rifles do not require licenses but they cannot be transported while loaded. Handguns that the owners plan to carry either on their person or in their vehicles do require a concealed handgun license (CHL).

If we implied something as extreme as this... Very few people would be driving.

No, you go to prison for life, or get the death penalty.

We banned murder centuries ago, but some folks just disregard those laws.
