Anonymous Coward User ID: 30721998 United States 12/23/2012 03:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | as soon as I heard that they were accusing the rebels of using them (I don't believe rebels were, we saw their homemade tanks, no tech), I knew that Assads forces were going to use them. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17114980 And so...it begins. No one takes any notice of you though as you jump to conclusion. Or your paid to be here. It's not high tec, it's simply mixed and ready to go, the way it's distributed would make the diff. They used homemade shit, not like they threw it in a missile. I believe it was the rebels. |
=EkIm= User ID: 18606339 United States 12/23/2012 03:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Effects of Mustard Gas After a mustard gas attack, you might think nothing more about it for a few hours or even a day. But eventually you would see red spots forming on your skin that quickly turned into painful blisters. If you underwent a direct attack and inhaled mustard gas, it wouldn't take long to feel pain and swelling in your nose and throat as the blisters developed, sealing your airway. The longer the exposure to mustard gas, the greater the damage it causes. Conversely, if you had a brief encounter, your body would heal faster, giving you a greater chance for survival. In some cases, victims experiencing multiple exposures develop hypersensitivity to the deadly chemical agent. You might experience some of the following symptoms after you inhaled or touched mustard gas: Eyes: irritation, redness, burning, inflammation and even blindness Skin: itchy redness that is replaced with yellow blisters Respiratory system: runny or bloody nose, sneezing, hoarse throat, shortness of breath, coughing, sinus pain Digestive system: abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, nausea and vomiting [link to science.howstuffworks.com] [link to en.wikipedia.org] |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30695053 Russia was only guarding a portion of the Chemical Weapons storage that was endanger of being lost to the FSA...not the Chemical Weapons Assad had already loaded into the shells a couple of weeks ago... But i know they will not support you and will work against you and our/your governments. This world is crazy! I would love to stick with Assad, there are a lot more terrible persons instead. BTW this chemical situation was in the media for months and my sources tell me some FSA/Terrorists (nothing to do with a revolution or arabic spring) did use chemicals against loyal Syrian troops. i am so angry. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30699650 if it's the green light for any bigger escalation the western msm needs to report on it. lol, only the West publishes the truth, what a novel concept. What about Iran? they will say anything, lie, half lie, truth if they find it useful for their purpose. Just following the Koran, they fell no obligation with kefirs |

[link to www.debka.com] Chemical weapons store “At the moment, [Syria’s] chemical weapons are under control,” said senior Israeli defense official Amos Gilad Sunday, Dec. 23, echoing the statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov Saturday that “the Syrian government has “consolidated its chemical weapons in one or two locations amid a rebel onslaught and they are under control for the time being.” |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 21427624 Canada 12/23/2012 04:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | can anyone explain what advantage there is to using chemical weapons? What can Assad gain by using them that he couldn't do with conventional weaponry. Aside from using them in an enclosed area where they may not want sensitive equipment destroyed, I can't see why Assad would use them. Hussein used his as a fear tactic on the Kurdish people, not as a military tool, but a political tool to keep the rest of the kurdish people in check. Just like the US used nuclear weapons on Japan to keep Russia in check. If there was a military or tactical advantage, is the advantage big enough to overcome the obvious downside risk ( ie. full blown US/Nato military support ) One day the truth will come out. |

Chemical weapons almost never gave any tactical advantage on the battleground to anyone who have used them so far in warfare history and their successful use depends on so many different factors. Assad will also lose Russia/China support if he'll do it, so it doesn't make much sense coz chems are a Russian red line too. If the MSM aren't blowing this out of proportions to prepare the next FF event, then it is the usual and well known wmd fearmongering that always has a certain impact on the sheep and makes them support the MIC agenda. Very recent example a poll on WP 3 days ago that says that US people are open to a Syrian intervention only if Assad will use or lose control of the chems . Expect more of this chemical BS the coming weeks. Poll: Americans open to Syria intervention [link to www.washingtonpost.com] |
