If he really knew how to play the game, he'd choose a date at least 20 years into the future. That way, he'd have at least one whole new generation to milk for all it's worth, as has been done by those who profited from books they wrote 20 and 30 years ago. Those people were smart. They'll never have to work again thanks to all the money they reaped selling the LAST failed doomsday prophecy, lol

No, your uncle's a bit of an idiot. He's left himself no time to profit. Gee, he couldn't get one decent lecture tour organised in that time

Tell him to start again and copy those who are sitting pretty and financially secure thanks to their milking the Mayan prophecy. They gave themselves 20 years minimum. They don't care it all turned out to be FAIL, because they HAVE your money and you can't get it back

Get your uncle an agent, first of all. Then get him to set a realistic end-time date (has to be at least five years into the future. Longer away he sets it, more time for him to earn from it)

He needs time to write at least four books on his chosen end-times theme. Then he needs several collaborators to agree with him so they can sell THEIR books, videos and lecture tours, ok ?

By the way, he's on a winner. People are addicted to the promise of an escape for taking responsibility for their own boring lives -- so they'll buy any crap he invents. But he needs to pace himself and set his doomsday scenario somewhere upwards of 2015. Predict doom and the suckers will come, lol

Well my uncle has always said doomsday was the 24th.
