Seriously, this made up Holiday, much like moat of the others are getting pretty old. If one person can show me the date of Jesus' birthday anywhere in the Holy Scriptures, I'll shut my mouth and never question anything I'm told again....Don't worry, I'll wait.

Christmas is just a traditional way of people getting together and exchanging presents. People pay no attention to its pagan roots. If it weren't so damn commercialized, no one would know about it.

Ahhh...............Have you read the bible? It is mentioned and if it was good enough for the angels and heavenly host to rejoice, it is good enough for me to rejoice.

Yes I agree, the world has changed the meaning of the event which I find deplorable and devalued its worth but that's not going to stop me rejoicing over it!

So what? Are you saying that the angels and heavenly host who rejoiced at His birth are pagan? Or what about the shepherds, I guess the wise men probably were though?

If it was good enough for them, it is good enough for me!

People follow what they choose to follow (read the sign.). God never once told them, that it's okay, but do they care? Their end shall be according to their works. One of the FIRST things Father told me to do, when He revealed Himself to me, was that I needed to give these pagan traditions up. I haven't looked back since. You learn that you really don't need these traditions. We have 364 days to gather and give presents. Why not under Christ? I'd post the Scripture, but I'll end up being blocked again as always. Remember, Jesus didn't teach it. The Apostles didn't teach it. So who did? The king of Saturnalia. The winter solstice. I'm sure if His birth was to be celebrated, that oh....I don't know, He would TELL us like EVERYTHING else He does! He surely told us NOT to do them.
1 Timothy 3:16 KJV
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Mark 16:16 KJV
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Acts 2:38 KJV
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 8:6-9 KJV
6) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8) So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Matthew 15:8-9 KJV
8) This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9) But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Acts 5:29 KJV
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

@ OP, tell them to either prove it with Scripture or hush. It'll avoid debating and they may see the error of their ways. If they won't, don't even reply, because the demonic spirit they work with, wants to cause strife and confusion.

I'll take my leave on this.

WHEN DID GOD TELL YOU THAT CHRISTMAS AND ANY OTHER PAGAN TRADITION WAS OKAY? IT'S A SIMPLE QUESTION. DON'T Beat around the bush!

If you want the Scripture that proves it's evil and that Father hates it, my email is "[email protected]". Good day.

I assume you mean birth DATE, otherwise you're really mixed up. Most likely it was a different date/month, but me thinks you are just looking to find an excuse not to honor Him. That's your choice. But consider carefully if you really want to turn your back on Him and the "why" that he came 2000 years ago. He did it because He loves you, so much so, that He will never force you to love Him back or have to endure eternity with Him.

@ OP. They'll never tell you that God told them to. It's pride. Pay them no mind. They'll beat around the bush trying to get you to be bend to their will, thereby trying to "win". Don't let the devil win. I'm out. God bless OP and in case we never speak, happy early Sabbath (Friday sundown - Saturday sundown).

Either you use it or you don't, but try having a good sleep knowing that you can't face the fact that God never told you that it's okay. In fact, you don't hear Him at all. God talks to His people all the time in the Bible, but yet you have one way conversations with Him. Use the email if you care about God as you claim. Quite correct, that date that is set aside today is years out, however, I for one celebrate the event not the day and as a matter of fact, it's an event that I celebrate as far as possible - daily! It's not possible though to have family and friends around to celebrate and rejoice every day and this is why, I for one, am happy that there is a day set aside where we can be together!

I wish you well in your life and faith. hf

Re: Can We PLEASE Discuss How Christ's Birthday Was Never Once Mentioned in the Bible, but Why its Still Celebrated on This Day by the Masses?
Seriously, this made up Holiday, much like moat of the others are getting pretty old. If one person can show me the date of Jesus' birthday anywhere in the Holy Scriptures, I'll shut my mouth and never question anything I'm told again....Don't worry, I'll wait.

BTW OP, the date is immaterial, it is the event that is celebrated.

Which brings me back to the point WHY IS IT SO WIDELY CELEBRATED ON THIS DAY?

But regardless of that much, His birthday did nothing for mankind. Which is why we aren't supposed to celebrate IT but rather the passover, his dying for our sins, which did everything. Why celebrate His birth if He did nothing worthy of an eternity of celebration on that day?

And why wouldn't one deserve this?

Guess the good guys got to keep one... or the bad guys couldn't kill it.

Think of how much more blah life would be without a birthday party...

Aren't we taught to love our neighbours as we love ourselves? Doesn't the Lord pray to the Father that we all may be one in them?

Because the Catholic Church demanded it because of all the people still celebrating the same day as a Pagan holiday, which was unacceptable to them, so they made it into a Christian holiday.

Good day.
