You'll find that those people you seek to meet, are also arseholes with no time for anyone but themselves. Some could be retirees with about ten years of life left in them before they start up the hospital lifestyle. They'll have no interest in starting new relationships. Most are just happy for a good morning bowel movement. I could write so much more, but I too am an arsehole and cannot be bothered to.

Christmas season. Its meloncholy for me.
When I was a kid, we had an artificial tree, did the family fakery, got crappy gifts. My drama queen sister ruined any glimmer of happiness for my life.
My parents smoked ciggys and being in a closed-up house, the smell made me feel sick all winter.
The stupid Santa claus wrapping paper.. the fukkin' stupid X-mas hats that girls wore.
School was a waste of time.

Yah, I remember.

Its not a crime to be a loner.
Its okay. In fact, its good alot of the time.

You're an example of people I hate.

I feel like I burn a piece of my soul each time I associate myself with the crowd. I wish I could just fly away and never come back down.

When I was 17, Joni Mitchell came out with an album called Blue.
There was one song, called "River" and the verse in the song was something like, "I wish I had a river that I could skate away on... and fly away..."

Those words, the sad & haunting voice.. it really hit me.
I mean, I did not want to live in the world anymore.

When I listened to Sea Change album by Beck, well it was the exact same sadness and aloneness that I felt.
I cried like a baby listening to that for the first time.

I am an old bat. But inside, I am still 17 years old, do you know what I mean?
I am the same.

I said all that to say this;
You will find a way thru' this.
Sometimes it will be very hard.
There is love out there and you will find it.

Hating requires energy and effort. It can drain you if you're not careful. Better to just disregard people you might not like.

Try to find those ppl you talk about, it's true, most ppl are dicks. But there are still good ones out there.

Don't be too judgemental, just be yourself ;)

something tells me these "mysterious, intelligent, humble people" would not be given a second look by you as you are most likely a "loudmouthed, unoriginal, asshole".

And I wasn't ever happy when I was in that place, just really numb and crazy. I switched off all morals and discarded all beliefs and values that meant everything to me, just so I could be like the rest and be at ease, but never at ease at the same time.

Living a mundane life in mediocrity is the worst you can do.
So, don't do it.
You have your mind. Your inner world and ability to read, create and whatever else you do to spend your free time. Live your personal life as expansive and creative as you can.

Having a boring job, paying bills and paying car repairs is dull, bothersome and ultimately NOT life.
Generally speaking, most people in modern countries do this to maintain a certain standard of living.
Do you HAVE to do that?
It depends. Do you have what it takes to be very different, so different that you live life TRUE TO YOURSELF?
Can it be done?
CAN YOU DO IT?

So you basically know who you are. That in itself is remarkable. Most people do not invest the time to find out who they are, they spend most of their life drinking to run away from knowing or facing the truth.

Tell me where or what environment would suit you.

This is, of course, an occupational hazard of living in Australia.

It must be hell, being a "nice" and decent person in that country.
