Anonymous Coward User ID: 10743044 United States 12/25/2012 09:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "Using the 575 year period, William Whiston, a contemporary and disciple of the great Isaac Newton believed that the comet of 1680 had literally grazed the earth after the fall of Eden, triggering the Noachian Deluge (Noah's Flood) in 2346 BC" It's probably not the same comet as the 1680, but if that one caused the biblical flood.... Start making your ark! |

Nothing but the paint on the face of Existence; the least touch of truth rubs it off, and then we see what a hollow-cheeked harlot we have got hold of" |

Start making your ark! It's a longshot, but if Comet ISON breaks up at perihelion we could see cataclysmic doom. Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 fragmented into 20 pieces which slammed into Jupiter in 1994. One fragment hitting the Pacific Ocean would have global consequences. Not likely, but something to think about. This monster is no Elenin, hehe. And no, this does not spell doom people. Pick up a science book once in a while, this stuff is cool! |

I follow you some on Nin's solar thread and do not remember you being too doomy of a person in general. Lol. If you say it is possible, I will take note. :) Perfer et Obdura;Dolor hic tibi proderit olim.Fortes Fortuna Iuvat! (Be Patient & Strong; someday this pain will be useful to you.
