Anonymous Coward User ID: 30837344 Canada 12/25/2012 12:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | YES BUT WHEN YOU FART THAT MAY TIMES IN THE SAME SPOT IT USUALY MEANS A BIG CRAP IS COMMING! Except that in earthquakes it indicates a pressure release, which tends to forestall a large one. If you are in an earthquake zone, you want lots of sub 2.0 shaking. Every time you get a small one, the big one is pushed further away. |

The Energy Release from Small Quakes prevents a large quake from occurring. Since 1922 the largest Earthquake to Occur in California is M7.3. The Last Earthquake M7+ to occur in California was in 1999. In 2005 a M7+ Earthquake Occurred offshore in Northern California. California has not ever had a M8+ Earthquake. I don't see this Trend Changing any time soon. |

That few thousands of 2s or lower 3s don't prevent a big one or push it further away. |
