Why are you comparing 1st world countries (which US in most way isn't anymore) to syria, iraq and iran etc.

Btw. it still wouldn't help. not even close. The military is using nerve gas, cluster bombs, tanks , artillery etc. and you think more pistols would help the civilians ?

You can't overthrow a modern day government which is backed by the army, no mater how many guns you have.
