My college age daughter got a themed "feel better" array of presents. A 3 inch memory foam bed topper, flannel jammies, fuzzy robe and socks, a water bottle, a heating pad, cough drops, and a box of pamprin. The younger one will be getting a new phone, a set of speakers for her ipod, and a "happy light" natural light for dresser. Why? Because it is easier to give someone the finger than a helping hand. Mike Royko |

It seems ...just wrong..... Quoting: Jervis and V-Honey Christmas is about giving, more than receiving, so we should think about that aspect also. Let's hear about what YOU gave, it doesnt have to be materialistic either.... I know there are plenty of genuine souls on here. It may be awkward to answer this question as well, many givers do not like tooting their own horn....but that is not why I am asking, it just genuinely makes the heart feel good to hear such charitable stories!!!! So..... What did you give? why are you on the GLP? don't you have a family to celebrate christmas with? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1696419 United States 12/25/2012 02:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I gave my best pal a gift certificate to the Harley store so he can get a decent jacket for once! I gave his daughter my old Benchmade knife coz he said she needs protection. I bought my mom a nice Wusthof kitchen knife and sharpener and the documentary "Fat Sick and Nearly Dead." I want her to start juicing. Oh and grandma got 40 bucks too. And I got another friend some cds. I gave a lot more than I received this year so mission accomplished I'm happy. :D |

pmb1 User ID: 29905040 United States 12/25/2012 03:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well over the past 2 months I spent over $900 on presents for families in need and sent presents all across the US the first of December. We also baked 25 dozen cookies and took them to different nursing homes this year. We had fun doing that. I gave out 12 Turkeys yesterday to some needy families, so I believe I did my part. |

I didn't know what I was missing all these years. A good website to check is www.jointhereboot.com (but it's currently down right now). I lost weight easily too. My coworker lost over 100 pounds in 3 months!! (He was really big and juicing exclusively tho.) Try it out it's fun! :) |
