6 men are charged with murder after a woman died 2 weeks after she was gang-raped and beaten in New Delhi

Indian police have charged six men with murder, hours after a woman who was gang raped on a bus in New Delhi died in hospital.

The men could face the death penalty if convicted, in a case that has triggered protests across India.

The 23-year-old victim was savagely beaten and raped for almost an hour before being thrown out of the moving vehicle.

She was flown to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for specialist treatment, but later died from severe organ failure.

This story is just heart breaking all around. From reading the article, it seems that their govt isn't taking the issue seriously. "Died peacefully"? Seriously? No. That woman did NOT die peacefully. I imagine she was in agony the entire time from what those animals did to her. No, they're less than animals. They're monsters. Animals don't do what those men did to that poor woman. It's sickening, reading this. I hope the people continue to push forward with their protests and show their discontent with how crappy their gov't is handling the issue and the issue of women's safety in general. And I hope those monsters die the exact same way that woman did, beaten and mutilated.

this is about entitled and impotent men the world over believing their physical prowess over woman entitles them to physical control over women

it is the lowest and most base ignorance and is enabled by global religions and societal attitudes which believe a man is better than a woman
and has the right to control them , individually and collectively

but it's men doing the raping and it's going to be the men who have to change and evolve if this is going to stop

women are peacefully protesting right now -but those men had mothers -mothers who enabled those men to believe they were better than women - that doesn't sound like a hindu attitude btw - and i do hope the culture which br4ed them takes responsibility for its product

these men will be named and shamed - their addresses given - made public

their famnilies will carry their crime as well as them - their mothers , their sisters, their fathers and brothers

every one of them will take responsibility/carry the can because everyone of them is accountable-enablers -wanting to 'fit in to their ignorant and 'religious ' doctrine

we are all lacking spiritual direction and application no better than beasts , i'm afraid to say

but i would hope that shame would lead MEN to address their behaviour , their attitudes , their perceptions and beliefs

because those unchallenged and unchallengable attitudes are what is shaping society and it's failing all of us

women can be responsible for their actions -we do a lot of rotten shit which has massive consequence on society - we are accountable for that
but we don't rape like men do - that is a male thing

and that's going to need some upright men , to lead the way forward in this
