My husband had an MRI that demonstrated extensive blockage in signficant coronary arteries. I can't remember if the famous 'widow maker" was involved or not, but you get the picture.

We were advised to get help ASAP by our MD's office.

We prayed, meditated, prayed some more and scheduled some elaborate follow-up procedures.
We did them all and my husband, over 70, was shown to have
NO demonstrable blockage whatsoever.
A completely normal heart and coronary arteries.

Its crap like this that I have had to deal with for over a decade now, my illness Crohn's disease which I got diagnosed with at 21 is because of my evil ways. I have lost a lot of friends, close friends and family because of this. Its truly insane to look at everyone like this, thinking they are cursed and ravaged by satan if they have a disease.

Words of Jesus right here when it comes to disease and disability:

"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life." John 9:3

Having a chronic disease and being a Christian seems like oil & water - and I'm a Christian, and its exhausting dealing with religious nuts that think like this. Its the same type of people that drive new Christians out of churches, shun differences and keep their churches like ancient old museums.

At certain degrees a Christian can fall into the "Karma" pagan belief system.

Hmm, I've been atheist as long as I remember making choices about such matters as religion. The closest I've ever been to anything religion related was a brief period being drummer of a black metal band, but that was never about religion nor did I ever believe in any supernatural demon rocking out to our music, but the bottom line is I've never been on god's side. At best one could say I've been mocking him a bit with my darker musical period.

In light of that, according to your theory I should have been sick often, however I haven't had a day off norm for over 20 years now. Look at my flag and you'll notice I even live in an area prone to give you a running nose at least, but heck I don't even get that. I don't even get hung over when drinking too much. I never get sick. How can this be?

Perhaps because I never burned any churches and took my passion for the dark side from a youth rebellion into a more serious form, like way of life and living?

I would think denouncing his existence in public should set me up pretty bad too, but well I've done that too when bothered enough by religious people trying to convert me. Still nothing. I know it gets me a ticket to a place I'm incapable of being afraid of as I've never bought into it and never will, but if your the evidence of your theory I'm your debunk as surly I would have had an upset stomach at least once by now?

Now I wouldn't know why the devil would want to make me sick for making some light hearted fun on the expense of his nemesis, supposedly in his name, in the first place, but perhaps he sees my soul being so dark the devil is saving up some extra super crap for me that will be the end of me? Oh well we all die one day so what if that is the way I go? I live by the day anyhow. I could forget to check the road before crossing the street tomorrow too. That hurts too.

In fact I've been close to death three times, and neither became enlightening experiences that made me turn to god. I just don't fear death that way as I've never believed in anything bad after this life. Coincidently not having this fear enabled me to keep my head cool, heartbeat down and adrenaline under control throughout the experiences and do the right things to come out alive.

It sucks I can't remain in this realm and enjoy life with you all forever, and then eternity, but what do I care at that point? I won't exactly lie in my grave thinking, gee I'm bored. If I have to "believe" anything it is that death is final and there ain't anything I can do about it.

Now a religious believer might then intervene and say something like jesus saves, but it is also clearly impossible for me to accept any godlike concepts at this point, thus I walk through life without any kind of third party fear script directing my life functions. Instead I go through life aware of the world around me and aware we are beings of soft tissue on a hostile planet in a violent universe.

One final note, it's not that I'm fearless. That only applies to my own existence. As any human I too have fears tied to say losing a loved one while I'm still aware of the world around me. I know what such a void does to one's daily spirit. However beyond that there's not a single cloud above me.
