I think if 1.5 million people were on the move the rest of the media would have picked up on it. Not calling BS just yet. give it a few hours first. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 17065583 United States 01/02/2013 04:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Perhaps this is related? The link I've added below is an unofficial report from earlier today of an unidentified explosion near a nuclear facility in the area. It is unclear to me what time zone the date on the report pertains to, Iran being 12+ish hours ahead. [link to www.algemeiner.com] It doesn't shock me there isn't much about this from credible sources aside from that BBC mention. The Middle East has it's quirks, among them a little cultural concept we picked up from being there once upon a time, called "Saving Face". Don't laugh! I know we all do this, but they do it entirely differently. Very seriously, in fact. It's an honor thing. Doesn't make sense to me but it is what it is. In general, it means they will not admit fault even when obvious, often using vague and ridiculous terms ( "Emergency pollution" anyone?) to avoid admitting failure of any kind. I'm not poking fun here, but speaking seriously. Something big is up if they have asked that many people to flee. Interesting post OP, it will be scary to see where this goes... |
