Obama care requires the doctor to ask if you have guns, but it also says that the answer must not be recorded. If you trust the government, go ahead and tell them about your guns, otherwise be vague, or dodgy. The doctor can't make you answer, but they have to prove that they asked the question. I will never tell them, and my response is "I object to giving my personal information to the government, and I believe this is unconstitutional and irrelevant". I have already asked one doctor if she knew that it was illegal to record hose answers. She said she had not heard that, but she had never made anybody answer anyway. She just mentioned it and filled out the chart with "discussed guns in house'. Until yesterday, I don't think anybody knew that the answer couldn't be recorded, but I intend to tell everyone I talk to. The feds never told the doctors, so most of them are probably breaking the law now.
