According to the Moscow Times version of the truth:

U.S. President Barack Obama on Friday signed a bill supposedly designed to facilitate trade between the United States and Russia, but which has been perceived by Vladimir Putin as a major insult instead.

The measure, which Congress passed by an overwhelming margin, allows Obama to establish "permanent normal trade relations," or PNTR, with Russia by lifting a Cold War-era restriction on trade.

In effect, however, the bill is a broadside against the Russian government.

It specifically directs Obama to bar Russians from entering the United States and to freeze any assets they have in U.S. banks, if he considers that the individuals are "human rights violators." The provision is named in honor of Sergei Magnitsky, a Russian anti-corruption lawyer many U.S. lawmakers believe was beaten to death in a Russian jail in 2009.

President Vladimir Putin on Thursday called the Congressional approval of the bill "a purely political and unfriendly act." He added, "I don't get why they would sacrifice U.S.-Russian relations in order to get some political dividends at home."

Moscow kept up the fiery rhetoric later on the 14th, in a Foreign Ministry statement after Obama's signing. It called the law "shortsighted and dangerous" and an "overt interference into our internal affairs."

U.S.-Russian relations have already been strained over the conflict in Syria and the treatment of critics of the Kremlin since Putin returned to the presidency in May.

The Magnitsky law directs Obama to publish the names of Russians deemed to be human rights violators, but allows him to keep some names classified if he decides that it is in the interest of U.S. national security. Congress is due to receive the first list in 120 days, and Obama must explain in advance any names he decides to keep secret.

Russia considers the Magnitsky provision an insult.

So what is really going on here?

Obama told Medvedev in a viral video shot last year, when a microphone was mistakenly still hot, that he would have more flexibility after his November 2012 re-election to the Presidency.

Isn't it obvious that Obama is orchestrating the disarming of the American people?

The protest of Putin over "The Magnitsky Bill" is pure theatre, and indeed the Russian foreign ministry has called the legislation a "performance in the theater of the absurd."

Exactly.

The "Magnitsky Bill" will actually serve Putin by enabling him to see his Russian enemies stripped of their assets in the United States. The concern about "human rights violators" is only a cover, with the major targets being individuals who pose a threat to Putin.

Planning to collapse the dollar and plunge the United States into violent social chaos, Obama and his fellow traitors to the Constitution are determined to grab the guns of Americans.

The plan, as many have theorized over the years, is to bring in "United Nations" forces, which will be predominantly Russian in this case, to restore peace and order.

In effect, America will be taken over, and its citizens will be unable to defend themselves.

The 'Sandy Hook Connection' becomes obvious.

The signing ceremony for the bill was scheduled on December 14th.

December 14th is the day which is now being called 'the second 9-11' - the second event whose fallout is to totally strip Americans of their Bill of Rights.

December 14th is the day when a lone gunman psycho did not blast his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School.

They needed multiple shooters for that. That is the elephant in the room, for all the discrepancy sleuths. Nothing adds up, in any way, unless there were multiple shooters involved, and a pre-arranged plan of action, to be followed by a cover-up.

What has also followed has been an orchestrated psyop, to make gunowners come out in the open, and then to demonize them all as conspiracy nuts. There have certainly been enough crazy clues thrown out, don't you think?

A demented coroner, photoshopped family pictures, "official source" misstatements, television interviews in which various Sandy Hook residents have incriminated themselves through contradictory testimony and acting routines, missing blood, missing bodies... we have all been the victims now of a dizzying array of intentionally placed red herrings.

There are all kinds of theories to speculate about who the perpetrators were. The accused range from Mossad... to a Mexican-based & Chicago-linked drug mob called "The Latin Kings"... to a rogue F.B.I. black op... to Germany’s COREA Group (the DVD’s penetration operation inside CIA, based at Frankfurt).

Maybe they were all involved, like the many layers in the "Who Shot Kennedy" saga.

What we must understand, however, is who hired them.

The truth is right in our face.

They even made a film about it in 1987.
