If you have been truly in love you always have a soft spot for previous loves. It doesn't mean you want to go back with them. BUT, they played an important part in your life, at some stage, so you should still care a little.

However, in the worst case scenario, if she did want to go back with him, she is doing you a favour. Why would you want someone as your love who didn't really want to be with you?

Without actually knowing the dynamics of your relationship and her's to him, it's really hard to say.

Given this day and age where everyone seems to hold no loyalty to anything except their private parts, I think you probably know the answer. But perhaps she is just friends with the guy. Sometimes people are able to remain friends even though the relationship is over.

The unfortunate part is that women generally are more cunning and manipulative than men and have capitalized on men being dogs for so many years. You did say it's been 7 years that you've been with her and that is about the time when relationships start to fall apart.

If it is a childhood ex, then, it doesn't really matter and you need to 'get on with it'. Also, if they are mutual friends in order to communicate about their child more effectively, then, I think you need to let it go.

However, if this is just some guy she used to have sex with and 'date', I would question it.
