Why an Atomic Bomb did not work in 1945 and does not work today ... or ever!

Are you aware that radioactive materials used to be very common place in households all over America?
It was mixed with paint to make glow in the dark clocks and it was a vital component of smoke detectors.
There was a kid a few years back that got in trouble for scouring junk yards and collecting the waste to put into a modified thermos to make a personal reactor.

Wait, wait.
Didn't they tell us these things have a half life radiation in the thousands of years?

Yet, if you look at photos the land is not desolate of plants and animals.
They are alive and kicking. Having non-genetically damaged offspring.
Why is that?

If it is safe explain the rise in cancer rates in nations that have done above ground nuclear testing.

I find it extremely funny that So many people jumped all over this to refute the claim, but all they are doing is cussing and ranting and stomping and yelling and throwing they're arms in the air. Atomic bombs are real. Two were dropped on Japan.
However we made all radiation dangerous to the public. The truth was too complex. In the late 40s many shoe stores had X-ray machines so you could see your toes in your feet. A morbidity study was done in Japan where the bombs were dropped. At a certain distance from the bomb centers the people lived longer and were healthier. To better sell the Cold War we simply made all radiation bad.

The reason why people are insulting the OP is because they have been taught to do it by being coaxed into trying to ridicule anybody going against the grain.
They were taught that Nuclear weapons destroy cities and that Nuclear power is dangerous and accept it like a child would accept a lollipop.
