Federal Gun Registration and Semi-automatic Firearms Ban Bill coming Thursday - Ban the Guns from the Liberals

We live in a democracy right? (really we don't its a republic but the progressives wants us to think its a democracy so they can buy votes) A bill I would support is a voluntary ban on weapons.

If the progressives want to limit their ownership of any weapon I say great let them put their names on a list banning them or restricting their second amendment rights.

he rest of us can keep our constitutionally guaranteed right of defending ourselves by whatever means are necessary.

The senate wont pass it because there are several democraps from red states that would be unemployed in 2014 if they voted for that piece of shit. Dingy Harry already said that preserving there majority in the senate is more important than any single piece of legislation. His reasons are all wrong, but stopping this is the object.

In most all areas, Sheriff's will initially organize the resistance.

If youve got personal problems and/or hate for local LE, get over it, cause for most of us theyre gonna be on our side.

If youre one of the unfortunate ones to live in areas where the Sheriff's dont stand up with the resistance, then youre just fucked and on your own unless someone else in your area is able to organize an effective resistance.

Still can't figure out if they plan on knocking on doors.

People who currently have "assault weapons" are going to be grandfathered in, right? So that means people who currently own "assault weapons" will NOT get their guns taken?

What's the point of banning guns then? Every gun owner is going to be granfathered in, so basically no guns currently possessed are going to be taken. Which means there will still be millions of guns all over the nation for crazy people to get a hold of and do serious damage.

All in all, this is just a big ass stupid show that will amount to nothing except more shootings by the crazies. We won't be able to purchase these so called "assault weapons" anymore, but the millions of machine guns in the hands of the people are safe and sound.

This seems like an extreme waste of time, money, and resources.

I am stunned that the citizens of the United States are going to lay down and have their rights stripped. Wait till freedom of speech is considered no longer necessary.... The threat of tyranny is just a prevalent today as it was 200 years ago.

I suspect that Bloomberg paid off politicians to get the outrageous NY State gun bill passed, and he will do the same in the US Congress.

Once they get their foot in the door and are allowed to nullify inalienable rights I hope the sheep aren't stupid enough to believe they will stop at just one. There will always be a need for the 2nd amendment, and that need is just as strong today as it was in 1776 and will be just as strong 250 years from now. In fact, I'd say we have a far far stronger need for it today than in 1776.

We cannot allow the RKBA to be attacked. We must defend the RKBA, and that includes defending the right to keep and bear effective intermediate range fighting arms such as the AR-15 and AK and etc.

I just called my local sheriff's office, and he advised me that he doesn't have a stance on it at this time. I bet I know which way he leans.

I wouldnt waste your time on silly arguments like that, because they can be defeated. They can make the simple argument that the AR was the tool used to kill while IE was not.

The RKBA is above that. It should not be bothered in discussions of who did what with a gun. It should remain as is regardless of the misdeeds of a few with it.

There are costs and benefits of the RKBA. It is a known cost of the RKBA that people will be killed by firearms. This should come as no surprise, and it should not ever override the benefits of the RKBA as laid out explicitly in the 2nd amendment, - that is 'being necessary to the security of a free State'

The RKBA does not wax and wane with any crime committed by individuals.

It is NOT a collective right. I do not lose my right to own a gun because someone else abuses that right. Period.

Until they catch you with what they deem illegal and throw your ass in prison.
