Scientists have created a melody that's truly out of this world, turning numerical data from two stars in our galaxy into music for a reggae-rock band.

The star observations were made by NASA's planet-hunting Kepler space telescope. Researchers at Georgia Tech’s Sonification Lab converted the data into sound, at the request of the band Echo Movement, which wanted to infuse one of its songs with a heavenly melody.

The Egyptians refered to it as the Cancer constellation. To us its a crab, to the Egyptians it was the Scarab /Dung beetle that brought life cause it was spotted right before the sunrise of the nile river growing season. So it was considered pushing the ball of dung or the sun across the sky..

Khepri (Kheper, Khepera, Chepri, Khephir) was associated with the scarab or dung beetle (Scarabaeus sacer), making him one of the most famous insect gods. The Egyptians watched the scarab beetle rolling dung into a ball and pushing it along the ground to its burrow. The Egyptians made a connection between the movement of the sun across the sky and the movement of the ball of dung pushed by the beetle. The solar connection was enhanced by the fact that the scarab has antenna on its head and when the scarab pushed a ball of dung along the ground, the ball would sit between the antenna in a way that was reminiscent of the solar disc flanked by a pair of horns which was worn by many deities.

Some great info here...I try not to think too much into some of the conspiracies or hidden knowledge...I think much of it is available for us to discover on our own in plain sight (we are just to blind to see it most of the time!)

Interesting image. Its amazing how all of this connects (the ancient and the 'scientific discoveries' of today)... our ancestors knew of these things, now it takes a team of researchers and a lot of funding to prove them, at least we can come to GLP and talk about some of the overlapping in ancient and modern day discovery.

Yet, the most evolved specie on Earth's favorite attitude is "No, no, no, this is not related" whenever someone tries to point out how connected we are with the Environment, the Cosmos, the whole Creation and the Universe...

evolution in related with time, so every living species NOW on earth are at the same stage of evolution, humans or insects or whatever living atm on earth.

You know ants have a concept of garbage disposal? I was watching the carpenter ants hollowing out a wood pillar on the front porch of our house back in the 1980's with my mom. Each ant would come out of the hole with a little chip of wood he chewed off and walk to the edge of the porch and drop it over. Then he'd go back for another one.

I was pretty surprised by this and wondered if ants disposing of garbage was what I was really seeing. Then one came out and dropped the chip but it didn't fall all the way over the edge. The ant started to walk away then he noticed it was still sitting on the edge so he turned around and walked over and gave it a final push to send it over.

I thought that was pretty amazing. They wern't just dragging it out of their new nest and dumping it in the first place they could find. They were actualy disposing of it, out of sight, out of mind totaly and permanently. I developed a newfound respect for ants that day. They are very intelligent little creatures.

Its quite sad how ignorant of these connections most people tend to be...quantum science is really discovering some amazing things (especially with DNA and its response at a distance...) and yet still people will not listen to the sounds of nature all around them.

Think of all the heavy metals in our body as well. How much is that interfering with it?
