Scientists have created a melody that's truly out of this world, turning numerical data from two stars in our galaxy into music for a reggae-rock band.

The star observations were made by NASA's planet-hunting Kepler space telescope. Researchers at Georgia Tech’s Sonification Lab converted the data into sound, at the request of the band Echo Movement, which wanted to infuse one of its songs with a heavenly melody.

Dead drummer Mickey Hart making music from cosmos

Mickey Hart, the former drummer for the Grateful Dead, is feeling ambitious. On his new album, an as-yet-untitled collaboration with lyricist Robert Hunter, he's setting the sounds of the entire history of the universe to music. And this isn't just some cosmic concept album - Hart, 67, who sits on the board of the Smithsonian, is collaborating with high-ranking NASA scientists, engineers at Meyer Sound and telescope operators around the globe to transfer light waves to sound waves to jams Deadheads can groove on. This week, the Mickey Hart Band takes a break from recording in Sebastopol to try out some of the new material (along with old favorites) on a brief tour of festivals and small clubs, including a Saturday show at the Independent.

The Egyptians refered to it as the Cancer constellation. To us its a crab, to the Egyptians it was the Scarab /Dung beetle that brought life cause it was spotted right before the sunrise of the nile river growing season. So it was considered pushing the ball of dung or the sun across the sky..

SYMBOL OF THE SCARAB UNVEILED ! The Initiation of the Waters, and the Birth of the New King !

BY APOLLO

Sirius, the star of Isis,

Signals the countdown to life !

:siriussky:

At first sighting, the people of Egypt would be overjoyed that the season was here. 5,000 years ago, it would have been spotted in the end of June. The Temple of Denderah was configured to align with the spotting of Sirius and its appearance meant the resurrection of Horus thru the lost phallus of Osiris.(the horn of the unicorn, See left of Sirius)

This childs resurrection during the time of the Nile river flood can be seen in this Bible verse, The throne of God is the height of Summer Solstice where the sun reaches its zenith (throne)

Revelation 12:

Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth.
She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne.
The serpent however, spewed a torrent of water out of his mouth after the woman to sweep her away with the current.

Khepri, the Scarab pushes the globe of the sun across the sky. (It is the symbol of Cancer the Crab to the west), To the Egyptians it was Scarab that foretells the sacred flooding of the Nile that makes the harvests bloom.

Watkins]. In Egypt Cancer was the scarab beetle: "In the Egyptian records of about 2000 B.C. the constellation of Cancer was described as a Scarabaeus, sacred ...

The Sun signaled the timing of the waters and the fertility in Egypt. just as the egg laying dung beetles eggs hatched from what was dead to impart life.

From Gnostic Author).

The first day of Jonah within the great fish (Leviathan-Lucifer) is the First Mountain of Initiation, Alchemical Birth. The second day is the Second Mountain, Mystical Death, at the end of which is Resurrection. The third day within the great fish (Leviathan-Lucifer) is the Third Mountain, Sacrifice. Thus, after three days Jonah is a resurrected Master. He lives in harmony with the Great Law and is ready to do the work of his Father as an awakened avatar of the Christ. He is “vomited” upon dry land, because he is no longer permitted to work within the waters of Alchemy. The proper use of the sexual force that was utilized to create the Twice Born is now prohibited to him. The work of the seven days of creation of the true Human Being is complete and the sex belongs to the Monad now.

Remember the Saviors of countless traditions who were cast into the waters as infants: Moses, Perseus, Karttikeya, Romulus and Remus, Maui, etc. Nor should it be forgotten the many Saviors born from stone (the philosophic stone/liquid stone of Mercury = the waters of Yesod): the Persian Mithras, the Babylonian Enkidu, the Chinese Qi, the earliest Norse Gods, etc. The ApacheSavior is even named “Child-of–the Water” as a direct reference to the means of his (Alchemical) birth. It is within the waters (of Yesod) that the real Human Being is born.

Khepri (Kheper, Khepera, Chepri, Khephir) was associated with the scarab or dung beetle (Scarabaeus sacer), making him one of the most famous insect gods. The Egyptians watched the scarab beetle rolling dung into a ball and pushing it along the ground to its burrow. The Egyptians made a connection between the movement of the sun across the sky and the movement of the ball of dung pushed by the beetle. The solar connection was enhanced by the fact that the scarab has antenna on its head and when the scarab pushed a ball of dung along the ground, the ball would sit between the antenna in a way that was reminiscent of the solar disc flanked by a pair of horns which was worn by many deities.

Interesting image. Its amazing how all of this connects (the ancient and the 'scientific discoveries' of today)... our ancestors knew of these things, now it takes a team of researchers and a lot of funding to prove them, at least we can come to GLP and talk about some of the overlapping in ancient and modern day discovery.

Gotta run for a bit! I look forward to reading replies later :)

You know ants have a concept of garbage disposal? I was watching the carpenter ants hollowing out a wood pillar on the front porch of our house back in the 1980's with my mom. Each ant would come out of the hole with a little chip of wood he chewed off and walk to the edge of the porch and drop it over. Then he'd go back for another one.

I was pretty surprised by this and wondered if ants disposing of garbage was what I was really seeing. Then one came out and dropped the chip but it didn't fall all the way over the edge. The ant started to walk away then he noticed it was still sitting on the edge so he turned around and walked over and gave it a final push to send it over.

I thought that was pretty amazing. They wern't just dragging it out of their new nest and dumping it in the first place they could find. They were actualy disposing of it, out of sight, out of mind totaly and permanently. I developed a newfound respect for ants that day. They are very intelligent little creatures.

Excellent, but the insect grey aliens already have that ability.
