Blind husky still pulls sleds with his brother's help
Dogs are cool and Huskies are especially so. I am fortunate to have an Alaskan Husky as one of my friends. The story below caught my attention. Perhaps it will warm your day as it did mine.

"Gonzo the Alaskan husky got his name for a reason. Ben Morehouse of the Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel in New Hampshire says Gonzo and his brother Poncho are "some of the goofiest dogs you can put in harness." But that's not all that makes them endearing. Gonzo is blind, but he keeps pulling sleds with the rest of the pack. When the dog's vision worsened three years ago, he began relying on his brother to lead and correct his path on runs....."

Thats sweet , I liked the bit where the dog with sight pulled the blind dog out of a stumble.....I have an adorable Shih Tzu who is at this moment making a little squeaky noise for a piece of my apple......such cuteness!

Re: Blind husky still pulls sleds with his brother's help
huskies, i have two, we go out almost everyday, they pull me on my mt bike or skis, their sense of direction is unreal. my two know left right , upup, slow, steady, etc. i can be in the middle of nowhere and tell my sasha go home, she takes us right through the woods, in a straight line not trails, to my truck. how she does it i dont know. they can also find water, i tell sasha water and she cuts right through in a straight line to nearest stream or pond, i think she smells water but not sure. their memory is fantastic, ive been on trails a year later and specifically remember going around some big trees and up a slope, a year later they will take the trail you did the year before, around tree etc, anyway they are amazing dogs, my thunder is one of the best mt bikers ever,we are in the process of making some videos, thunder is going to be famous,
