Shooting at our local high school.........

Why is there a time delay between when the scanner in my kitchen sounds off & when the one on the internet comes on?

From FB on the news feed for the local paper - "I was just told that a school counselor called my friends house and said there was a shooting."

This is NOT adding up. The superintendent told KCCI that it was just a fire drill. If it was just a drill, then why didn't the teachers know about it? Why was the entire district put on lock down? (2 schools are still on lock down) Why were students only allowed to leave with a parent once they were signed out?

A couple of students said that people came into the school & shot a person.

The cops came into the school with dogs & assault rifles. They had snipers on the roof.

If this was just a drill, WHY the snipers, assault rifles, etc.

this is weird. 3 weeks ago, in my town, 3 schools were
on lockdown all day until after school was to let out
because there was a "robbery suspect" in the neighborhood.
practice for martial law me thinks.
seems they are just making up reasons to scare the public,
especially the kids!

The teachers had NO clue what was going on & no clue as to what to do.

They were panicking as much as the kids.

EXACTLY!!!!! My husband & I are thinking this was a drill gone live. The administration & cops are not saying WHY students were evacuated or the "supposed" incident that led to the evaucation.

I was listening to the scanner & they have a "number" of the person that supposedly called in a thread & it was a female voice. Officials are insisting it was an email.

So many inconsistencies, I've got some people agreeing with me as to why the story is NOT adding up.

They could stop the gossip & theories if they would just say what was going on.

Scanner just said they would discuss school hours tomorrow.

I'm wondering how many students will be in school tomorrow. If my daughter was still in school, she would not be in school the rest of the week. My daughter told her fiance' that he isn't going to school the rest of the week.

There is about 400 students at this school, 20 are reporting on Facebook that they heard gunshots.

My daughters fiance' has decided he's not going to back to school tomorrow, the rest of the week will be decided later.

From a mom saying what her daughter said -

"I will just say that I am glad my kids are safe, and that no one got hurt in this incident. My daughter saw the guy in the school with the gun as she was leaving the band room where the person was heading. I do not know exactly what happened but I believe my daughter who was there and saw it. And it was not a fire drill because that would not put all Boone schools on lock down. I am one of the people who posted early and I did not know what exactly was going on I only heard from my daughter and she was hystarical. Like i said before I am glad my girls are home and safe."

That's why they call it "terrorism". The point is to create panic. They don't need to hurt anyone and they don't want to risk another "crazed gunman". They can make a popping sound, let honest law enforcement and dedicated educators whip up a storm of hysteria. Teenage imaginations will fill in the rest.

Even if the story comes out that there was no gun, no shots, just a threat, the terror those people experienced will stay with them. So will the impression their naive faces on local news leave--how scary to have guns in Iowa.

The only way to con0mbat terrorism is to refuse to succumb to terror. Stay calm. Stay curious. The kids are all right.

The kids who saw & heard things are NOT buying the fact that there wasn't anyone in real danger. Many parents are starting to see thru the lies too.

No, I've managed to get some truth to the local TV station, rather than the "official" story from students who saw & heard things.

I'm hoping the superintendent gets backed into a corner & has to fess up as to what actually happened today.

Possible scenerio;

Was supposed to be the next "Sandy Hook", everything was in place and the go signal was given. Patsy walks into the school with a weapon and was met with lethal force from an armed school employee or teacher. (who said NOT HERE and started packing after Sandy Hook) Authorities must now keep a lid on it since it does not fit the narrative, and rumour has it Barry and Eric are fuming.

Sounds plausible to me.

Hubby & I are thinking it was a drill that went live. The students that saw & heard things are shaking their heads over the fact that the news reports do not fit what really happened.

The teachers are getting behind the administration as the "official" story is sticking.

Many parents are really starting to question the official story.

I have a feeling the school will be mostly empty tomorrow. The parents in this district don't put up with much crap. The adminsitration is going to have to come up with some answers soon or they may lose students to another district.

Here is another anomaly -

They are doing an expansion to the east of the main building.

The workers were allowed to continue to work but students had to be locked down & staff were allowed to leave at their leisure.

This keeps getting weirder & weirder.

Dont forget there was a drill (in az i think) were the only ones who knew at the school ahead of time were the principal and district superintendent. Looking for link now.

You know what? If these were my kids, they would NOT go back to school until a full explanation was given, and let me tell you, my claws would come out if I found out that this was a freaking drill and that they had no warning ahead of time. this is bullshit, what they are doing to kids all around America. Sure, we had what they called "Communism" drills when I was a kid, but we were warned about them and told how to react, etc. There was none of this scaring tactics with live drills BS.

America needs to toughen the hell up and start standing up for not only ourselves, but our children and future grandchildren. This is just no acceptable!

Good luck to all the kids and parents from this school, and I am glad that everyone is ok and no one got hurt. That's the most important thing, besides finding out what the hell happened. Perhaps a phone call from a lawyer might get some answers for these kids and parents?
