Re: The 18 Most Suppressed Inventions Ever
"In 2001, Nova Scotian Rick Simpson discovered that a cancerous spot on his skin disappeared within a few days of applying an essential oil made from marijuana.

Since then, Simpson and others have treated thousands of cancer patients with incredible success. Researchers in Spain have confirmed that THC, an active compound in marijuana, kills brain-tumor cells in human subjects and shows promise with breast, pancreatic and liver tumors.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, however, classifies marijuana as a Schedule I drug, meaning that it has no accepted medical use, unlike Schedule II drugs, like cocaine and methamphetamine, which may provide medical benefits. What a buzzkill."

From the previous link--all great things, the government is not interested in our well being, but preaching to the choir here.

EVERY substance has some medical use - and it's usually the "patient" that knows best. The MD is a teacher and counselor, but should never be thought of as master.

Keep your own counsel - and take reasonable risks to further your own development. It's not your business to save the world, unless it asks you to.

Patents cannot be suppressed.

Inventions can be patented only if the intent is to put the patent to use.

If someone is issued a patent but then doesn't use the patent for anything, you can go to court and have the patent taken away from the patent holder. It then becomes free for anyone to use.

Also, patents expire. After they expire, anyone is free to use them.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31801898

True, but patent disclosures are often incomplete - and intentionally so.

It's generally OK to use ANY patent for your own personal use. No reason not to make a 99mpg car other than state and national rules to prevent it.

Re: The 18 Most Suppressed Inventions Ever
even if some of the invention in this article are not as great as they appear to be we can all agree that there are alternatives that can replace the use of oil as a fuel source. one can only wonder how different things would be if we had gotten off of oil decades ago. how many environmental disasters would have never happened if that were the case. why do we have to see so many examples of how greed and power lust repeatedly screw us all over.

I remember hearing about a car that made a journey across the US running on water. The last news report I heard is the he or they made it. Then we never heard anything about it again.

You know there are some forces at work against these types of inventions.

Funny how most of those would cut out the use of oil as it's fuel. Hmmmm... wonder who's behind the supression...

Sickens me when i hear about stuff like this most i knew some i didnt , But we are halting the evolution of man and society by not using things like this..

Me too.

What really ticks me off is that they suppress this stuff, then chastise us for consuming too much.

I'd be more than happy to "reduce my carbon footprint" by driving around in a sea water-powered vehicle and using Tesla's free energy device to air condition my home.

I have never seen any source state Tesla s free energy worked by ionizing the atmosphere.
Its amazing to see someone actually get it.
Some of the stuff on the list was dysfunctional or fake but some was real.
The most important suppressed inventions however are the ones we don't hear about, that are so important they are buried as soon as they are patented.
There are systems to harness power from anti fuels or cold fuels readily available here and now.
Systems to improve efficiency of traditional power systems from 10% to 90%.
There is technology that was popular a hundred years ago that coupled with modern technology would eliminate most waste and pollution.

It was my Father-In-Law’s 56 birthday today and we all celebrated at a local Italian restaurant. Several of these cover-ups were discussed in clandestine by my 13 yr old Nephew and I.

Bob Marley was right: “You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can’t fool all the people all the time”.
