Maybe? I also read that anyone who has already aplied could wait months to be processed. I am not a computer guy and dont know how servers go down or how long it takes to fix them. Anyone comment on servers? I got mine last summer and it took 5 days.

I have been searching for any other states that servers are down and cant find anything. I would think that other states would also have a large amount of people applying so why cant PA servers handle it?

Okay, another thing to question...do these servers contain those that are already in the system? Was THEIR information compromised??? Cause I was wondering if perhaps a "journalist/hactivist" may try to release info a la the NY newspaper.

Just got off phone with sheriff, servers only contain new applicants data.

all could get out of him was he didnt know when servers would be back and that he would contact media as soon as its back on, pretty much same as news article.

Sure thing, when it pertains to my state I'd like to know what's going on. My husband just got a concealed carry license, so I hope something like this is truly just a server issue and not someone hacking in or ???

Seems like something that could be fixed quickly to me? I am sure whoever is working on the problem is in no rush.

Maybe the system was hacked by the Feds. Would not put it past them.

When was it fixed? Be good to know what exactly happened, my husband didn't have a chance to call the sheriff...I just hope no important information was hacked/stolen.

Was fixed about 2:00. I know what you mean, Im going to watch for something like this to happen in another state. Im sure whatever it was something shady was happening because it has to do with more americans carrying guns. Maybe they are doing a more detailed background check? Will never know what really happened.

Was about to comment on another thread.. yesterday was told the whole state's licenses system went down,

this also happened with in the last month or so, i know because someone else was trying to get something done, and couldn't because the system was down that day also.

The whole system is krashing, too many firearms in the hands of the American people, which is our right. Register, um, they work for us, duh. Law Makers, are elected Public Servants not authoritative bodies.
