6.7 SANTA CRUZ ISLANDS

There have been 5 or so 6-pointers in that region lately. WOnder if those were foreshocks.

Definitely possible. Pretty sure this one has had the highest magnitude.

Possible volcanic activity? I'm not familiar with the area, but seems like an area where there is a chance for it.

Interesting USGS has listed it as M6.7 also.

However NEIC who provide the readings to USGS have not posted this on EMSC.

Maybe Lemuria will pop up out of the sea, I think it's supposed to be a bit NW of there.
