when i was i child i loved the iron, smooth, flat and slid across the board.

It is because the iron is a symbol that represents opression and non equality with females. Someone found it offensive, hence the pussycat to replace it which is kind of a tongue in cheek response as it was a homersexual who complained.

That is where my money is.
