What happens if someone uses an iPad for 90%of web surfing...with a home wifi?
I worry about all the conspiracy sites I go to, lol

If the "authorities" (public servants) want to find out what you're doing online, as a few people have already mentioned in this thread, there is very little you can do. Your ISP ALWAYS knows where you've been and they keep records.
The fixes, laid out on this and other threads of mine, are more geared towards preventing the corporations and advertising leeches and the creeps who like to remotely turn on your webcams and mics on the net from accessing you or actively tracking you very little if at all.
Do these fixes stop everything? I think we would be a little naive to assume that. It does, however, puts in place a line of defense that will at the very least slow them down if not stop most of them altogether.
VPNs have been mentioned that hide your IP, that's another layer of protection.
Using Tor and search sites that don't record your IP is another.
Making sure you know how to properly delete internet files stored on your computer and how to say no, GLOBALLY, to people turning on your webcam or microphone remotely.
Things like that.
It's the whole package that really gets it right but in the end, anytime you are on the net you should assume someone is in fact watching you and act accordingly.
