I was told yesterday at a local gun shop not to expect any 9 mm or .223 ammo until NOVEMBER if ANY!!!!!!!!

where im at people can find what ever round they want localy,but everything is limited to 1 box per cliber per person per day. alot of 223/556 9mm 40s&w and 45acp. cheap also

with the exception of tula at $12 per 50 of 9mm
the town usualy gets a big shipment once a week and the supplies last 1-3 days then its gone again
reloading supplies is slim pickens and NO primers to be had, only powder...
and those prices on the reloading stuff they got is marked up. to reload 1000 5.56 cost about $400

Yep, and as I mentioned above, not only are the prices we're having to pay - (if and when we can find ammo), outrageous, but our tax dollars are paying for the DHS massive buys at probably next-to-nothing prices per round for them.

If you are looking for .223/5.56, there was a bunch on Tuesday/Wednesday this week in the .51-.53 per round range. Not bad in this climate. Lasted almost a day on some of these.

Just plain ol' .45 ACP an 22 long rifle for competition practice and plinking. Of course no plinking going on at all right now. Gotta hold on to what little ammo I have. $460.00 delivered for 1000 rds, FMJ 230 grain CCI Blazer non-reloadable is about the best I could find. That's at an auction site with Buy it Now. I paid $239.00 for the same thing before this crap happened.

in our local stores and shotgun ammo and a few boxes here and there .I cleaned them out this week and spent over $100buks on ammo just to have plinking ammo .i am not dipping into my war stock yes i feel you op but we preached for years to stock up here.

if you have the money....i would suggest buying a gun in caliber that the masses dont have...then buy all ammo you can afford for it

There's a thought. Anyway, just found a reasonable deal on 1000 rds (compared to everywhere else that has any .45 ACP). Haven't looked into .22 LR just because I know that's even harder to find than .45 ACP.

They sure made life miserable for us folks that used to enjoy plinking and recreational shooting comp. Now it's painful to see rounds go downrange knowing you can't even reload your brass since primers are practically non-existent. Gonna have to find another recreational activity for the time being I guess. That or I'll see if I can find any .22 LR for my .45/.22 combo just to keep in practice with my full sized .45. How my head feels right now...

At least with $2.95 a round for .50, you got your bang for the buck. With .223, not so much.

Bullshit just bought some 223 from fleet farm and cabelas, also 9mm from cabelas. Pretty reasonable too. 223 was 7.49 a box and 9mm was 350 rds for 99.00. Just went to gun show today and picked up 9mm 15.00 for 50 hollow points. It's out there you just need to stop bitching and look.
