Quoting: Anonymous Coward 904314 That is buddhism A famous monk visited our home and he surprised my father by reading his mind. At that time he was having Inheritance problems , that is inner family case and we are not even close with that monk, and he is one of the Leading Buddhist monk in our country , his teachings always Air on TV. Upon he visited our home , he discuss Dhamma teaching to us , we donate offerings, food and . And then he silent a bit and out of nowhere, talked to my Dad, "Donater, you father already gift you this life , that is the biggest inheritance you ever get. If it is meant to be for you will received in full. But what would those mean to you when you die? You can't bring any of that when you die. If you let it go, you will be a lot more peaceful after that right?" He never discussed his troubling inheritance problems between him and her eldest sister (she wants all for herself) ever before with any outsider (not even with me , his own son). He is very shocked. After that he do not try to press anything about that to his Sister anymore. But later my Aunt gave my Dad fair share of the wealth and he is all happy. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 904314 Canada 02/09/2013 02:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Master ascended the hall and said, "Here in this lump of red flesh there is a True Man with no rank. Constantly he goes in and out of the gates of your face. If there are any of you who don't know this for a fact, then look! Look!". At that time there was a monk who came forward and asked, "What is he like - the True Man with no rank?" The Master got down from his chair, seized hold of the monk and said, "Speak! Speak!" The monk was about to say something, whereupon the Master let go of him, shoved him away, and said, "True Man with no rank - What a shitty ass-wiper!" The Master then returned to his quarters. ~ From "The Zen Teachings of Master Lin-Chi: A Translation of the Lin-chi lu" |

WindyMind User ID: 26518293 United States 02/25/2013 12:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have a suggestion. Don't tell people you know what they are thinking. You know or you don't it doesn't matter. On the other hand what you are doing with the ask and tell thing is irritating to your wife, but more so if you have this ability with other people over time you may find out that they don't like you saying what you know from reading their minds. This is also a useful talent in every day life but it is best to keep it under your hat. I hate that I gave you that suggestion. |
