Cross Country Road Trip This Summer...Looking for Tips

Buy a Midland 75-822 hand held cb and a Wilson antenna. Those two will tell you what's up ahead. Buy a road atlas of the USA from Walmart $6.95 and a compass. Even if u have GPS take a compass.

It's been awhile but we've really had fun a few times plotting trips between Roadfood,[jane and michael stern] book featured restaurants. They frequently published updated editions. I think you might be able to get all their info on the internet now.

any Phoenicians have advice for when I reach my destination?

help guys....just found out I've got to head out in less than 2 weeks...I've got 2300 miles to cover in 3 days....

what times of day do I need to avoid Indianapolis, STL, OKC & Amarillo, TX Most of my driving will be done on Thursday & Friday. Obviously rush hour sucks, I'll try to get a break in at these times.
