I don't assume all are extremist. But even the peaceful ones I know still treat their wives as property.

That's what happens when you allign yourself with a group that routinely blows up city blocks. If the moderate muslims don't agree, they should stand up and speak against it.

How radicals in Europe, and even the U.S treat their women is not a problem?

What I have provided here is evidence that there are peaceful muslims out there who are against violence and jihad. And what tends to happen is that the peaceful muslims and the extremists get thrown in the same category and this happens even in the news, so no wonder the peaceful muslims are harrassed when they go out in public in America and some have had their property burned. My own nephew saw some muslim men in a Dallas museum recently and he kept telling his mother they were terrorists and that they probably had bombs. What kind of people are we becoming? As for the women, there are muslims (as I mentioned to the other lady) that are making slow changes over there (and we know changes like this take time, they are tribal people after all) and what they need is not more abuse from the west, but prayers from the believers and positive thoughts from the rest of us that they will overcome their evil opressors the way we would like to overcome ours.

I can agree with most of that. But bringing attention to a problem is not "abuse".

I am referring to the abuse of peaceful muslims who are ignored in "bash all muslim" threads that pop up on here. Now I am a scrawny little white girl from Texas, so don't call me a shill- I just have empathy for the nice muslims because I have had the honor of knowing a female muslim in my past. (Religious tolerance is something all religions should preach). I understand your attention on the abuse of women and I am not ignoring that, but there are some muslim who like sharia law and others who don't- that is just the truth. Yes the ones who don't like it should be helped but it is a touchy subject because they are tribal people and we have not been successful to force them into a democracy situation when they are apparently not ready for it- that is just the truth.
