The issue is definitely one of probability not possibility, it is well established that both a sufficiently strong CME as witnessed in the past and the fact of a technical detonation replicating the event are both factual possibilities.

As with all time estimates we will not know until the event happens, similar to large EQ or meteorite strikes, they are BOUND to happen regardless. The impact on populations depends on severity and location.

In the case of a sun generated EMP we may have the luxury of a couple of days notice.

The point is to keep in the back of your mind the challenges of living without electrical power and/or communications for an extended period.

This is good practice regardless of whether you experience a normal extended outage from other reasons or whether it is because of a rogue nation detonation or the sun.

"knowing" may provide an advantage at that time....

What is quite interesting is the relatively small amount of world population who will be affected (many regions have very tenuous electrical systems to begin with) so the majority of the world would scarcely notice.



You haven't put much thought into this. Worldwide all .govs would collapse. Every country in the world is now based on electricity.

Shipping and movement of goods would collapse. You think every little village on earth has food stored? No.

You think most fishing villages are using sail/rowboats? No.


A world wide loss of electricity would cause world wide chaos.

Just read- "One Second After" by William R. Forstchen. Pretty interesting and quick read. Amazing how a little town grapples with the post EMP times.

While it is true most governments will be severely curtailed, I won't be surprised if general populations (especially in the so called undeveloped regions) quickly adapt to life without electricity, many places have very sporadic service as it is and so is not relied on like in the so called developed regions.

Imagine the sudden advantage places like N. Korea would have over its neighbor S. Korea.

Absolutely the world would be in chaos... even more so than now.

Seems like NASA is trying to quickly systemize sun effect monitoring--possibly as a predictor science for EMP.

could be true.... or not.. At anyrate it could be a false flag. turning off the power and never turning it back on!


remember those who got hit by sandy? they are still without power!

I have always felt the prospect of a man made or natural EMP to be the perfect false flag - especially if depopulation is the name of the game.
