Beats the crap out of what? Dude, if people wanted to play around with Gimp and Blender, they would be industry standards. They are not, and they never will be. Linux is for goobers thinking they're more enlightened than others. Enjoy the command line interface and playing with yourself. belive me I have windows as my 2nd system - my own made version I know a little about that OS and can compare and switch at will you however (from what you write) dont have much clue about linux - so why beign so stubborn? nobody forces you to use it so why put so much effort trying to discredit it? I'm just telling the truth. I'm not emotional about it. I don't care at all other that reality and experience. Linux is neat; it's just what it's always been, neat. When industry standard software and games are supported, people will listen. For now, it's for goobers thinking they're awesome. you are showing lack of it or some bad experience from lack of knowledge or bad distro or maybe some experience from light years back things look good now belive me - I dont wanna convince you to it since I dont care - things have changed
