Yes, but not in the way you think. Palastinians will defy the Israeli government and forcefully try to bury their leader in Jerusalem. The ensuing riots will bring chaos to the West Bank and drag many nations into it.

Israel has informed Palestinians that if they plan funeral for Arafat with state ceremonial, it can only take place in Gaza Strip – not West Bank or Jerusalem.

No, it wonīt start WW3.

The prophecy refers to the destruction of the temple mount, not whether somebody is entombed there.

I guess you donīt get it.
This will give the Israelis the opportunity to blow it up and blame it on the Palestinians!

Then they can rebuild the temple, so it is fulfilled what was prophesied

Perhaps destroying the Temple Mount will destroy whoever is (or will be) buried there? Or like the dog in a manger someone will decide "if we canīt have it, nobody will!!" and destroy it out of spite. Either way, could happen.

WW3 needs a US-Iran war as an ignition source. Nothing else, short of attack on an EU country, would do it.

Arafatīs death will be the start of a new level of violence on BOTH sides.

Israel will claim more and more Syria has an active role in this.

War with Syria evt. will ensue and the end result will be...

Damascus destroyed by nukes.
AlīAqsa Mosque destroyed.
The rise of the Antichrist...

As The USA War against Iraq rages, Moslem Terrorists (The Moon of Islam) will Launch A Non Stop Wave of Suicide Attacks against Israel. In Oct 2000, Yassar Arafat released 400 Hamas Terrorists from His PLO Prison, ready and waiting to "Detonate for Allah."

As Jerusalem Explodes in Violence, The Dome of The Rock Mosque may be destroyed. [intentionally?] This would unleash a Holy War against Israel, which plunges The entire Mid East into War.

Ariel Sharon, Israelīs Leader issues an ultimatum "You have seven days to stop all Violence or we (Israel) will go to War."

If Israel declares War against The PLO, this will Divide The Moslem world and could shatter the USA Based War against Terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Yasser Arafat is reported to be in a coma in a military hospital outside of Paris while officials discuss possible funeral arrangements, most importantly where the veteran Palestinian leader is to be laid to rest.

The Palestinian representative in France, Leila Shahid, denied persistent reports that Mr. Arafat is brain dead or on life support.

palestinian rep france leila shahid

In an interview on Franceīs RTL Radio, Leila Shahid said that doctors have described Mr. Arafatīs condition as "serious." She said heīs in a clinically induced coma that could be reversed. But, later in the interview she said that Mr. Arafat might wake up from his come or he might not.

Mr. Arafat was flown to France a week ago after he fell ill with severe stomach pains, vomiting and diarrhea. His illness has still not been diagnosed. Initial reports were that he seemed to be improving, but then he apparently took a turn for the worse on Wednesday. By Thursday he was said to be near death, slipping in and out of consciousness.

Early Friday morning Israel Radio carried a report saying that Mr. Arafat is clinically dead.

"Good morning, Boker-tov. Itīs 6:30 am in Israel. This is Idell Ross with the news. Both a Palestinian official and a medical source at the French military hospital outside Paris confirm that Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat is clinically dead," the announcer said.

But in Paris, PLO Representative Leila Shahid accused Israel of spreading false information about Mr. Arafatīs condition.

With Mr. Arafatīs condition so uncertain, the question is being raised where to bury the 75-year-old leader if and when he dies. He has told associates he would like to buried in Jerusalemīs Old City, something Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has ruled out.

A possible burial place being mentioned includes the Gaza Strip where the family has a burial plot.

Palestinian and Israeli security officials have held separate meetings to discuss the potentially volatile situation that could erupt after Mr. Arafatīs death. Israelīs security forces have been put on high alert and Israel Radio said authorities had begun restricting entry of Palestinians into Israel to those over 50 years of age.

This is Friday, the Muslim day of public prayer and Israel has often restricted entry of young Palestinian men in to avert potential trouble.

MIDDLE EAST
Abbas, Qorei tipped for new leadership
Sophie Claudet
Posted Fri, 05 Nov 2004

Former Palestinian prime minister Mahmud Abbas and his successor Ahmed Qorei are likely to slide calmly into place at the helm of an interim Palestinian leadership in the event of Yasser Arafatīs death, analysts predicted Friday.

As Arafat lies comatose in a Paris hospital, Abbas has been heading up meetings of his Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) and his dominant Fatah faction while Qorei has been in charge of the Palestinian Authority (PA).

Both men have been part of the Palestinian leadership for decades and their experienced hands at the tiller should smoothe the passage in the wake of Arafat.

Under the terms of the PAīs basic law, or mini-constitution, Arafat should be replaced by parliament speaker Rawhi Fattuh but his will be no more than an honourary position.

"There is nobody than can truly replace Arafat but we have legitimate institutions in place to avert trouble," said a Gaza-based Fatah official.

"Abu Mazen will take over as the head of the PLO while Abu Alaa (Ahmed Qorei) will stay on as a prime minister until elections can be held," said Sufian Abu Zeida.

Abbas currently serves as the PLOīs general secretary and has long been the United Statesī candidate of choice with the current Palestinian leadership for his moderate positions and condemnation of armed struggle.

He fell out with Arafat during his brief tenure last year as prime minister but made sure he retained his key roles in the PLO and Fatah after his resignation in September 2003.

If Abbas can cement his role as undisputed leader, it could help galvanise the peace process.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and US President George W. Bush refused to have any dealings with Arafat but they both played host to Abbas last year and hailed him as a genuine partner in the peace process.

Qorei has not been able to persuade Bush or Sharon to issue invitations for talks but he is also seen as a moderate within the Palestinian leadership.

Palestinian analyst Ali Jarbawi said that the two men could be expected to evolve a dual leadership, adding that their handling of affairs in the post-Arafat era was unlikely to be challenged.

"It will be a joint leadership. Abu Alaa (Qorei) will remand the prime minister Abu Mazen (Abbas) will head the Palestinian Authority," Jarbawi told AFP.

"Under the circumstances this is the way to go and it wonīt be contested even in Gaza" where support for Fatah has been eroded by the Islamist movement Hamas, he added.

The basic law says that elections should be held within 60 days of the Palestinian Authority leaderīs death or incapacitation. But Israelīs continued incursions and closures in the Palestinian territories give officials a perfect get-out clause to stall the holding of a ballot.

Doctors in Paris have been battling to determine the exact nature of Arafatīs illness ever since he was flown from his West Bank headquarters a week ago but have still to deliver a precise diagnosis.

The absence of a clear-cut diagnosis has served to fuel conspiracy theories that he could have been poisoned inside his Muqataa headquarters where he was kept under virtual house arrest for nearly three years by Israel.

Hisham Ahmed, a writer and professor of political science at Birzeit University on the West Bank, said that all talk of a smoothe succession would be irrelevant if Arafatīs death was found to be the result of foul play.

"As long as the possibility of Arafat having been poisoned is not ruled out, one can only envisage Palestinian frustration and anger that will be released not only against Israel but especially against the current leadership," he said.

"Arafat could not have been poisoned by Israel without the direct or indirect participation of officials in his entourage, or at least their negligence security-wise.

"If this turns out to be the case, we will live one of the most difficult and bloody period in our history."

This really blindsided me. I thought maybe heavy rains would make part of it collapse from the tunneling, or some nutjobbers would do a self sacrifice under the Dome.

This is almost textbook to see the tremendous fury that will result. Will his corpse even be allowed back into Israeli airspace for a īstateī funeral/procession? Or barred from entering?

If I had my doubts as to the precarious levels of the current situation, they are assured now with this insanely provocative īlast requestī.

This is a no win, flashpoint type exercise kids

Did anyone else/govt. foresee this happening???
