Just a little lesson on the "Ides of March" if you
are wondering what that is...It can be from the 13th
to the 15th of the month by tradition.

Here is some more background:
Interesting--The Ides of March:
The word Ides comes from the Latin word "idus", a word that was used widely in the Roman calendar indicating the approximate day that was the middle of the month. The term ides was used for the 15th day of the months of March, May, July, and October, and the 13th day of the other months.[1] The Ides of March was a festive day dedicated to the god Mars and a military parade was usually held.

n modern times, the term Ides of March is best known as the date on which Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 B.C. Caesar was stabbed (23 times) to death in the Roman Senate by a group of conspirators led by Marcus Junius Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus. The group included 60 other co-conspirators according to Plutarch. Another point which arises is Shakespeare's use of the Ides of March and (the lack of doubt in) Marcus Brutus' decision to assassinate Caesar to portray an atmosphere of madness, pleasure, and pandemonium. It is said that on ides of March the sea succumbs to chaos and the full moon brings high tides. All these points give the Ides of March a very mysterious quality.[2]
According to Plutarch, a seer had foreseen that Caesar would be harmed not later than the Ides of March; and on his way to the Theatre of Pompey (where he would be assassinated), Caesar met the seer and joked, "The ides of March have come", meaning to say that the prophecy had not been fulfilled, to which the seer replied "Aye, Caesar; but not gone."[2] This meeting is famously dramatised in William Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, when Caesar is warned by the soothsayer to "beware the Ides of March."[3][4]
Furthermore, Suetonius writes that the haruspex Spurinna warns Caesar of his death which will come "not beyond the Ides of March" as he is crossing the river Rubicon.

I've seen the film 3 times, so far. I've been doing
some google searches for movie reviews--some are
really great to point out symbolism, etc. that you
may not pick up on yourself.
I believe it will go down as one of the "greats!"
(Even better than Ripley Scott's series "Aliens.")
There is supposed to be a 2nd Prometheus...can't wait!

The date of 3-15-2013 also coincides with the
date when Julius Ceasar was assasinated by his own
Senate in 44AD. One has to wonder if this date
and the comet Pnns-Star in-bound in March will
not be an Illuminati "photo-op" for a STAGED
reinactment of the Julius Ceasar event.
The Assasination and a comet which came through
right afterward was considered such an 'ACT OF GOD'
at the time that they even minted a special coin
(Julius Ceasar's face on one side, the comet on
the other!). We'll have to be watching, like I
said earlier in the thread, for some copy-cat
event that would some link to this historical
political event. This wasn't in the Prometheus
Code, by the way....just something I was thinking
was coincidental about the date. We'll see!

the way i understood the movie was that the oil thing was what created carbon based lifeforms! However it can be used to control the dna in the mean time.

Instead of using... Crude oil... as a life enchancer... it was used as a weapon of destruction. It was used as a terraforming poison to subtlity repopulate any infected world when the time that the Oil genes were rebuilded!

It reacts on heat and drasticly transform anything it touch with Reptilian Characteristics.

In the movie the x-files:fight the future in 1998. we see a similar plot with a black oilly alien virus that have the same specs!

To understand the purpose of this... watch District 9! You may have to watch it twice.

The aliens that are trying to escape are extremly evil! The movie is portraying that as innoncent aliens just being attacked by humans, just to make you beleive that humans are bad!

check the symbolism on the alien weapons and the black oily thing that infect the principal actor. (dont remember his name.)

Also Check Crysis 2 introduction... Pay attention to the first statement of the commentators! They mentions 3 cities.

In the game extermination. there was a clip mentioning an ancient virus that was locked up under antartica which uses water as a medium to grow.. Also in the game the virus react to heat! The reason the virus react to water is becase artic waters are reknown to be very salty waters!!

By the end of the game you discover the source of the virus is a 60,000 years old chunk of meat that crash landed on earth... Just before the final boss, there is a cinematic showing you that this thing is Black Oilly slime being.
