but how does it compare to sea-ice levels from 59-80? or 39-60?
the alarmists are playing off our short life/memory spans to push their agenda.

Uh yes, at the end of the last ice age... There isn't 'plenty of evidence to show that there has ben much much less ice in the past without going back thousands of years. Science has already found lots of evidence that shows previous civilizations in many areas around the globe are now underwater due to ice melt. Obstructionist dogma will be the death of our kids, wise up. The climate debate doesn't have to be about politics, but the right -wing just cries about them endlessly and never allows the rest of the world to carry on a conversation addressing the changes, instead you fight over agenda-driven junk science and flam flam opinion based on the whims and imagination of profiteers.
