Anonymous Coward User ID: 18813854 Philippines 02/20/2013 12:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The sequester B.S. is supposed to be 85 million in cuts right? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1165448 That's a whopping 2 to 3 percent of current spending. This is all B.S. they are playing games. What about this administration do you not understand? Are you aware that DOD was planning cuts as much as 40% across the board way back in the Bush admin? Please back up your claim. Bush had tax cuts at that rate. Quoting: YaRight What they are not telling you is those civilian employees are funding by government contracts I would wager that if the sequester actually happens it will be temporary as the PTB will force the markets down, scare their servants in DC (who own stock) and the spending spigots will be re-opened with abandon. The furloughed workers will then be compensated for their losses via backdoor bailouts or some kind of tax breaks, etc. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 24684163 United States 02/20/2013 12:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | But but but. Government doesn't create jobs. You should be happy for spending cuts. These spending cuts will allow the private sector to create more jobs. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3987337 At least that's what republicans have been telling us. So lets just keep them because the Democrates want them even though we don't need them? Is that the Liberal thinking you are trying to project ? Nice job/ no punn intended |

OK genius, if the .gov can create jobs, why don't they just create millions of jobs. Oh, that's right.... they did that and it is sucking all the oxygen out of the system. These people need to be let go. According to your economic theory, we can just keep hiring .gov jobs until everyone is employed and prosperity abounds. What do you think is wrong with that theory? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 33630837 United States 02/20/2013 12:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wonder how much difference it would make... During my time sharing offices with state and federal Fish, Game, and Wildlife employees, work seemed to be a diversion done by the lowest ranking members whenever people got tired of taking a coffee break. If all those govt employees worked for a lean corporation, they'd find a way to get rid of most of them anyway, IMHO. |

Wednesday, January 23, 2013 The U.S. pays China 100 million dollars a day in interest Over the past decade, we have lost tens of thousands of businesses and millions of jobs to China. Ted Nougat User ID: 1531479 United States 02/20/2013 12:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is what dictators do - they stage one crisis after another to keep you fearful and believing that without them (Government intervention and intrusion), life as you know it will cease. You are seeing this with each and every thing Obama does, from healthcare to jobs. Let it happen. No more negotiating with this Banana Republic, Third-World, Socialist Dictator. It's all a setup to make conservatives look bad when, in fact, it's all because of his failed policies that the economy isn't growing. Just wait until his "gift" of health reform fully kicks in. You ain't seen nothing yet. This moron never so much as ran a paper-route as a private citizen. |
Damrod User ID: 6266696 United States 02/20/2013 12:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Bout damn time. When the Gov workers make a significant wage higher than the producers in this country...we have an unsustainable situation. The "production workers" pay taxes and those taxes are what pay for the slugs of Gov...that irritating bitch at the the Dept of Motor Vehicles is paid for off of your sweat. Let it fall damn it! It is time for the children to grow up and take responsibility for their own actions... Here is a thought... Reduce the stupid restictions for people to open businesses of their passion and just let people do what they do best. Our rules and regulations are not for the protection of consumers but are for the protection of the coperations and their cronies.... Let folks do what they know how to do in a free market and everything will be fine...that might mean...a little prostitution, some weed growing...etc...etc...etc...but they will be self supporting and not sucking money off of their neighbors for a paycheck...sound perfect to me. |

The Demoplubs will all pass an extension. Like clockwork. Its a team sport Confidence? There is no confidence other than this magical unicorn that can print money into infinity to boost asset prices. The market is nearly 100% sure the printing press is capable of providing a never ending stream of liquidity for the banks to bid up asset prices. In fact the sequester could be a great cover for the banks to sell out high, create another "correction" for them to buy back in low and play another pump and dump scheme later on. All the while the fed and crony central banks will have another round of ammunition to devalue their currencies even more. If we survive this madness, future history books will call this period of insanity the Paper Hunger Games. . |

Our most important asset at the department is our world-class personnel. You are fighting every day to keep our country strong and secure, and rest assured that the leaders of this department will continue to fight with you and for you. [link to www.talkradionews.com] Certainly there won't be a problem protecting the country when they're fired, or pissed off about being fired. |

my 2 cents User ID: 26646007 Canada 02/20/2013 12:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Add this to the upcoming sequestration and it's a 1-2 punch against the working class. It'll be interesting to see how they spin this when the unemployment numbers go through the roof. Patriotism is supporting your country always -- and your government when they deserve it.
