I used to work in checks cashing place. It does slow down the line. The easiest was when a person filled out their card and handed it to us. That was rare, but even when a customer filled one out, the printing did slow things down. But the worst was when they played numbers, it was usually a lot and we had to punch them in manually. The lottery was the biggest line slow down, and it made things more stressful.
