Got one as a EDC, bastard has a hell of a pinch point though...when opened to pliers...where the 2 blades come close together....OUCH!!!!!

I have a climber... I fried the main blade though... I like having a lock blade though.

I think that people who live up North would tell you that a high quality hand axe beats any knife or multi tool hands down.

There's a tool for everything. I've got the knives and multi tools. I wouldn't mind hearing some good advice on hand axes though. Feel free to voice your opinion...

I like the simple victorinox knifes the best, slim and with a few useful tools. Like my old dutch army knife:



I've got a KL83 version, and a KL90 version. This vid shows a KL74 version, but has the same tools.

Well I sure wouldn't like to try building a log cabin with winter coming on if all I had was a Swiss Army Knife/Multitool.

I don't really have enough experience to say. All we have is a regular ole fire man's type that's a bit blunt and used to split firewood.
